There are so many threads right now, and I don't want this to get lost in the abyss, but why is everyone saying that the draft pick we get from Asik is amazing? It's protected for a lot of the draft. top 2/3rds of the lottery and 20+ That only leaves a few places the Pels can land. The pick isn't that good and might come up to nothing.
I wonder if this is a case of the girl (Bosh) leading on, or the clueless guy (Morey) thinking he had greater chance than he really did?
It's funny how ppl try to play GM and justify a player's salary whether he's worth it or not (e.g. Lin, Parsons). Bottom line is it's all about winning a championship. It's not our money. Nobody gets an award for managing cap space well. Cap space is a means to an end. It's only good if you can actually sign a star free agent. This team was built to win NOW. Frankly, Howard is not as dominant as before. To that end, there's no denying this team is worse off than last year personnel-wise....SO FAR.
So, are you saying that the Rockets are obligated to execute the deals for Asik and Lin? Or, are you saying that since there is not yet a singed official contract between the teams, the Rockets can change their minds and back away from the deals? Sorry if I don't understand the CBA as well as you guys.
Everything backfired. Because of Lebron, now LOVE want to join Cavs. And Rockets trading Lin erased any contract necessary to make the deal with with Love. Everything is fcked. Rockets are screwed.
I thought my grammar was fitting for 3/4thd the morons who post or comment on this board. Was this acceptable?
There is also Lamarcus Aldridge and Kevin Love next summer. But this also means Rox are probably not going to get too far in the Post Season again this year.
In my opinion, the team in the structure they have presently, is now weaker. You dont have a backup guard. If JHarden goes down for whatever reason, Lin could have covered him, with an acceptable level of drop off. Ditto with PBev. Will see what Morey comes up as a replacement. Jameer Nelson maybe?
I think Miami had no choice but to trump our offer. Cos if Bosh leaves, they got close to nothing left in the tank.
My faith in Morey has been shaken, but I will continue to have faith. I don't wanna doubt Morey, because of the successes he has has and has brought us, but sometimes I wish he would just be content with two superstars and round out the roster. However, In Morey I trust
