The moment he opted out, he had to have started considering all the scenarios out there. That's my point. His physical location doesn't matter. If he was fairly certain he was going to come here if Lebron left, then surely he would have considered the possibility Miami would go after him a bit harder.
5 year deal with max raises from Miami ==> $118,703,000 If Bosh signs 4 year deal here with player opt-out after 3 and then re-ups for 2 more years: If we clear out everybody but Dwight, James, Parsons, and Bev: Bosh will have a starting salary of $19,050,824 3 years would be ==> $59,724,333 2 more years would be ==> $45,242,611 5 year total ==> $104,966,944*** ***This option allows Bosh to opt out in unison with the opt-out opportunity that the players' union has in 2017. This COULD be the equalizer as far as money is concerned.
Think in Bosh's perspective, it is very hard to walk away from 31M guaranteed money. The most he can get after 4 years at age 34 is 10M x 3 years if he signs anywhere. Pretty much equals playing 2 more years to make up for that difference.
There's more to picking odds than just ranking the teams by expectation. Vegas baits the public at times. It's also speculative, the Rockets are probably 8-1 with the assumption Bosh & Parsons will be on board. Right now they're not. For Cleveland, they might be assuming Allen, Miller and Love are on the way.
I agree. The media is drunk on Lebron. They forgot how Leonard out-performed his highness and how thoroughly the Spurs whipped Lebron's Big 3.
I just had a thought. If we get Bosh I might have to switch to Comcast to get the games. **** me! a stream wont suffice for the Big 4.
