Lol do the Heat think Bosh has some sort of memory problem? They asked him to take a paycut last week

How could Bosh not have seen this coming though? How could he not have considered all these scenarios in the first place? Surely if Lebron left, Miami would try to keep him. So you either expected it to unfold this way and are leaving regardless or were just using us as leverage. Or you're really clueless and didn't think Miami would up their offer.
I would bet Houston's offer to Bosh includes an opt-out after 3 years. He would definitely fetch the max at that time and it will be under the next CBA so the bird rights max will likely be even more lucrative at that point. The 4vs5 years is silly. In reality it is 3vs3 while getting 35% of the cap in year 4 regardless of which team is chosen.
He was willing to take a slight pay cut to match up with Lebron (THIS YEAR). Morey has already been making moves. I doubt he does this if he isn't sure. You don't hand out draft picks for a chance.
The only reason they're making less than the max is because they already made their $$$ and want to win. If they demanded max dollars their teams would pay it.
Because he could come to Houston and then Miami would get nothing. You can't go into negotiations with a team if they don't fear they could lose something too. That's not how any of this works.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>FWIW, Bosh committed to MIA in 2010 without assurances of "extra year" and stated willingness to take paycut for MIA contender this year.</p>— Ben DuBose (@BenDuBose) <a href="https://twitter.com/BenDuBose/statuses/487706193427587072">July 11, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Mchale to Bosh: "Hey Chris, I've got rings, you've got rings. Come to Houston" Bosh: "Rawwrrrrrrrrrrr"
Can someone clarify the contract difference if we sign him out-right versus through sign-and-trade? I know he can sign for more with Miami than us, but I I thought the new CBA didn't allow the same contract for S&T as the incumbent team signing the player.
