Lin trade is done? I don't think it's in principal.

So, lots of "experts" on twitter casting doubt, but this from the Woj Yahoo story on the Lin trade:

Moving Lin to Los Angeles will clear most of the salary cap space necessary to sign Bosh to a four-year, $80 million-plus contract. The Rockets are still working to formalize a commitment out of Bosh, who will leave Miami because of the departure of LeBron James to Cleveland. The Rockets also plan to match Chandler Parsons' three-year, $46 million offer sheet with the Dallas Mavericks once Bosh has committed, sources told Yahoo Sports.

Bosh was planning to speak to Houston coach Kevin McHale on Friday afternoon, a source said.

That sounds to me like they're just working out the details.

So if Bosh stays in Miami, what is our backup plan?

Even in the East, no way are they a top 4 team without LeBron. He was carrying the hell outta that team.

Look at the Raptors when they had Bosh as the main guy to see where Miami would be if they kept him. .500 ball.

Miami is funny. I don't buy any if this crap. Where there is smoke there is fire. Rockets are being leveraged to give something of value back in a SnT to the Heat. ;)

Wexler says 5-119 is Miami offer, ours is 4-88 - that is pretty scary it is $31m more GUARANTEED !

Yep, but that is still $$$$

This is just added drama. Not too worried. Houston makes the most sense.

All of a sudden, I feel like he is returning to Miami. That extra year may do it for him.

No, with the CBA, all max deal S&T can only be for max offer of the team he is traded to, which would be 4 years.

And at his age that is a lot. He won't be getting a big contract after our 4 year contract is up.

I'm hoping Bosh wants to keep winning more than who can pay him the most. At least we'll know by the end of the day.

At 34, he's still going to get another 3-4 year deal.

He's made 140m in his career and is about to add 90. Don't be so dramatic lol.

Rockets should know the status though. Bosh and his agent know. Why would they leverage against Rockets to lose assets to the team Bosh is going to?
