It sounds like Chris Bosh is trying to help Miami get something back, while securing his full max. Can't blame him for that, but there's a limit.
This reminds me of last year with Howard and the Lakers when all of their fans and reporters were talking about how they could get Parsons and/or Asik in a sign and trade. Desperation. The Heat will take spare parts that we would have to trade anyway in order to sign Bosh outright (i.e. DMo), or they will get nothing.
If they have to trade bev, we will just sign him outright and dump other contracts. There is no incentive for the rockets to trade him
Player. Singular. If you do a SnT and match Parsons, you don't have room for anything but minimum salaried players due to the hard cap. TJones and DMo are still gone.
Still very nervous about Bosh committing. I don't think it's a done deal yet. Hopefully everything works itself out in the next two days.
Give them what we need to in order to get Bosh what it takes to get him here. But don't give up Bev. We have other assets we can move (Euros, young players, and a bunch of picks).
Miami can ask for Beverley all they want. And the Rockets can hang up the phone, and sign Bosh outright.
