I don't understand the "trepidation" for coming back to Texas. He's from Dallas. The offer is to play in Houston.
Not sure I'd call it panicking. We're willing to pay Bosh the max. Would it be so out of line for Miami to give Bosh a 5th year? The real question is how badly does Bosh want to be on a contending vs a play off team. And let's not forget the guy loves living in Miami, has family and kids there, businesses there, etc. Unfortunately, I don't think this is over yet. If Riley throws a 5th year on the table, this could get really dodgy, really quickly.
something about family and relatives that he doesn't want to deal with.. imho, i think he stays. what's his motivation to leave if miami is offering the same price, if not, more? he's won two rings. i doubt he leaves.
All his exes live in Texas. Also, he's been livin' the Miami life. Hot women, beautiful weather year round, Cuban cigars... It's been good to him.
If the Heat offer him a full five year max I would imagine he stays in Miami. That's money he will never see again.
It would be a MASSIVE gut punch to have the door open with Lebron to Cleveland and then shut with Bosh having "second thoughts" and taking a max deal with the Heat
