It'll be like that time Gollum bit off Frodo's finger, only to fall into the pit with his ring. (Umm, LOF = Gollum, Lin = Ring, Lakers = Pit). /nerdout
Morey to all every GM out there: Hey uhh, this is Darrell, we're giving Jeremy Lin and a pick away for a bag of chips. You in?
what!? this is not good means something went wrong with that trade all lined up. omg. if Lin doesnt get traded and we dont get Bosh, Lin will unfairly be the most hated player on Earth.
LOL. If LOFs were angry with Jeremy having to share the ball with Carmelo Anthony and James Harden ...
Thats good for Lin...gets to play in the West Coast and in his home state... but why are the Lakers gonna help us after we stole Dwert from them?
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Lakers would make sense as destination with cap space to take on Jeremy Lin's expiring contract & without cutting into any of 2015 cap space</p>— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) <a href="https://twitter.com/ESPNSteinLine/statuses/487656337099485184">July 11, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Lin to Lakers makes sense. They have the money. He can go out there and be entertainment.... They need PG help and Lin might actually learn something from Kobe...
This would be a great move for Lin and his fans, which there are a lot in Cali I wish this works out, its best for him.
Hinkie drives a hard bargain. The Lakers may see more value in Lin than simply the ransom we would be paying for them to take on the contract. They have a ton of cap space, and not a lot of people to spend it on. Plus, with their swing and miss of a offseason, adding Lin would help their buzz/PR considering the large asian population there and Lin's overall popularity.
We can give them an asset and get a 2nd rounder or two from them. Those would actually be good 2nd rounders...
Stein: Rockets are working on a trade with LA to send Lin to the Lakers. He would make sense for LA. They can absorb his expiring contract without cutting into future cap space. They want to make a big splash in 2015. Quality player to play this season. Devil in the details is what is Houston willing to attach to his contract. Not a long list of teams.
