I agree that LeBron handled this poorly four years ago, but tell me something --- exactly HOW is he handling this terribly now?

I am under the impression that there have been zero leaks from his inner camp. He has led anyone on or made a spectacle of the process like the fiasco before. Would you prefer that he keeps us posted on his progress?

Is it that this is simply taking too long for your liking? The guy is making a decision that not only affects his family, but one that will help define a career that could turn out to be one of the greatest in the history of the game.
Given the fact that we know little about the variables involved, how much time to you deem appropriate for him to make his decision?

Should he just get on with it so we can stop hitting F5?

The Cavs are by far the better option. They have Irving, Wiggins, and Varajeo, plus Tristan Thompson, Dion Waiters, Anthony Bennett, the excluding Brendan Haywood contact and 3 2015 first round picks as fuel for a Kevin Love trade. And they would still have room to take back a piece/contract like Brewer or Martin and go get veterans like Ray Allen for a short term run. There is no way Minnesota turns down a Thompson, Waiters, Haywood contract, Heat 2015 1st round pick, and Memphis 2015 1st round pick for Love and Brewer trade. Then they can sign Ray Allen just like the Heat could.

Certainly beyond but right away in 2014, this team is much better than what Miami can do:

    PG: Irving (Joe Harris)
    SG: Wiggins (Ray Allen)
    SF: LeBron (Corey Brewer)
    PF: Kevin Love (Anthony Bennett)
    C: Varajeo (Vet Minimum)

They would also still have either theirs or Chicago's 1st round pick for 2015. Plus LeBron wouldn't ever have to play PF. The Heat couldn't even be that good in 2014-15 and not remotely as good moving forward. The Cavs are/would be better at every single position. Plus he goes back home. LeBron would be stupid to go back to Miami. If he wasn't from Akron, you could sell the fact Cleveland, the city, sucks, but he is so you can't.

I will say this: Being a defacto leader (the person whose decision determines the outcome for all others) there is a certain level of privileged and burden that comes along with that. Privileged (whether he wants it or not) because he's in control. Burdened (whether he wants it or not) because others who wait, cannot decide and act until he does (or chose not to).

Because of that he has a certain amount of responsibility to be diligent in making decisions as they so heavily impact others. That might not be his desire or want, but that's his reality and the standard by which everyone is judging him by. That's the burden of leadership whether it's wanted or not.

Because he has the entire league on hold and there is really nothing new to contemplate since the draft. Miami with an old, shallow roster or home with the Cavs and a young potential filled roster. He isn't contemplating us. He isn't thinking about New York or LA. It is the Cavs or some reduced structure of his choosing in Miami.

The thing is, why is Bosh waiting for Lebron's decision? We know he's probably going back to Cleveland already. He's just being the b**** he is and soaking the media attention. But Bosh is being a b**** too for waiting on another grown azz man.

And this is part of the reason I believe he is going to Cleveland. He knows enough that if his agent were authorized to tell Cleveland to clear cap space and lead Cleveland on like this it would be Worse than the Decision. Before he could justify the decision as wanting championships. If he were not willing to commit to Cleveland, he would have maybe entertained them but NOT instructed them to clear the cap space and led them on through his agent for whom he is responsible. He KNOWS that would really hurt his image. The article is basically saying he has been heavily for going back to Cleveland this entire time.

The flight back has the earmarks of telling Riley etc in person he is leaving for sure. Wednesday was a strong indication of "I'm leaving" and today is the formal notice. I think he's 95% gone. It may be the heat are offering to pair him with Anthony to change his mind and that's what is delaying him and Anthony or trying to convince him to take a 1/2 year deal. That's the other 5% to me.

I think people should relax at least through today and early Saturday. If he decides today we have 2 days left to complete the rest of our moves. To me this article me confirmed he was planning to go to Cleveland for a while but was giving Riley the chance to change his mind. I think the only possibility is a Melo pairing (which would still send bosh our way). He might still take the 1/2 year option, but given what's happened with Cleveland AGAIN, he'd be killed by the media if he did.

At least the World Cup Final is tomorrow, which means we should hear his decision today. I bet his website is updated either the moment his plane leaves the Tarmac in Miami or when his car leaves the airport in Brazil. If he decides he needs the weekend to think things over, all hell will break loose.

If it comes out that LeBron and/or his agent told to have Cleveland clear cap space and possibly work on trade for Love, then LeBron already knows where he is going. It's a big if, but if he then doesn't go back home he becomes the biggest dick in sports.

Something else to consider, everyone assumes Bosh is either Houston or Miami. What if Cleveland and Lebron prefer Bosh over Love and work a sign and trade for Bosh. Would have to give up fewer assest as Bosh could say he would just leave for nothing to Houston. I'd still prefer Love, but who knows what Lebron's thinking and what he feels he might owe to Bosh.
Just a thought on something else that could be a hold up.

Cleveland would have to trade Wiggins to get Love. The trade conversation for Love couldn't start without him.

Irving is one of the most overrated players in the NBA and he's horrible playing off the ball and a bad catch and shoot player and doesn't play defense.

They also have a rookie head coach out of Europe.

Pat Riley has a track record of putting teams together and Cleveland has a track record of F'n up.

If LeBron goes to Cleveland _ than he's no longer concerned about winning championships.

Do you really think Lebron Would do this to Cleveland again: Make them
clear cap space, Give them Hope again.. I doubt it... this guy is going to Cleveland- All the signs point that way.. There's no way he will do this to his home State again

Lebron goes, Wiggins is out for Love. They can use that to get Brewer over Martin.

Or, maybe he's scared to come play for a GM that is subject to trade him during the middle of his contract... Or maybe he's looking at the fact he would have to deal with guys like Blake Griffin on a nightly basis who he can't guard.

Just the same _ LeBron has gotten him championships and to the finals and he's living on south beach. Can't blame him for waiting.

Either way, he loses. He will be leaving Miami high and dry like he did Cleveland the first time. Only fool proof plan is to spit the 82 games between Cleveland and Miami, and whoever has the better record, he rides with in the playoffs.
