Well on the subject of Alexis, I'm sure Pool could have matched or even exceeded what Arsenal had to offer. Plus we play just as attractive football nowadays. But I guess London was the selling point. I assume it's like LA/NY vs Houston.

I thought Origi was decent, nothing to brag about at the WC. I have yet to watch Markovic. I hope he's good. I just hoped we could at least sign one big name to a big contract that can compete with the likes of Chelsea/City. That way going forward players would at least think that Pool is capable of handing out big money.

yeah i'm sure liverpool could have outbid arsenal ... austerity era arsenal. the shackles are off now. £300+m a year in turnover, £140m cash on hand in the bank (almost as much as all the other premier league clubs combined). liverpool can't match that.

    that's euros.

Yup, forgot to mention Euros. I was trying to say he forgot the incentives part.

Wenger has been given the green light to spend.

I really hope he gives up the shrewd businessman outlook and goes on a spending spree.

    Who are all these teams?

Bayern will have 7 starters in the world cup final...

Chelsea are a legitimate threat to Bayern and all of the other top teams in Europe.

Conceited much.... It's like Spain in 2010, I think 8 Barca players.

    Hey Jackie,

Who is going to replace Mario Mandžukić in the starting lineup for Bayern?

Now Germany has to do what Bayern could not (of course they already have gone one game farther). Too bad Pep chose the wrong tactics for CL. Can you imagine how obnoxious you would be if Bayern was a repeat champion right before Germany won the WC?

Levante's vice-president was interviewed by Costa-Rican television and said the Keylor Navas transfer is a done deal. Also wished him luck in his battle for #1 Bayern keeper vs. Neuer.

Guess it will be made official this weekend or even today, the doubters should rep the Tizzle for the constant updates and always saying it will happen.

    Congrats, bro.

    No doubting your sources.
It was just not making sense having two No.1 keepers on the team, keeping them happy.

Hard to be any more obnoxious than I am already! ;)

Still makes zero sense to me. Seems like a typical Pep move. I am liking the guy less and less and less.

Weird move by Keylor - he should go to a subtop team where he can get some playing time.

Barca is letting me down. I'm not a fan but I used to like the idea of them being a 'moral' club. But now:

    • Signing a player who is a terrible example to kids and puts football in a bad light
    • Neymar and dodgy financials surrounding the signing
    • In huge debt and just piling it on without thinking about it, unlike the German teams which are usually in the black

I know football is 'just business' but it's sad to see it happen so blatantly.
