This is one of the rare times I will have to disagree with you. He should've done the deal back in December and if it's still on the table I don't know what he's waiting for. Rondo absolutely puts us over the hump and puts us in the same class if not favored over OKC/Spurs/Clips. It doesn't matter if we get Melo or Bosh or even Love as long as Beverley is starting at the point and playing heavy minutes this team can not and will not go far and I love me some Bev but it's the truth. Out of all the rumored Free Agents/trade prospects... there's no one outside of Lebron that can help this team more or fits better than Rondo. I truly believe Rondo is one of the few rare players in this league that actually makes his teammates better. His vision and ability to see plays develop before they actually happen are uncanny. I can only imagine how much easier he would make the game for Dwight and the open looks Harden/ whatever shooters would have. From an X's and O's standpoint he makes too much sense to not have especially since we're retaining McHale as coach. Then you factor in his intangibles like feistiness, leadership, heart and most importantly his Alpha-Dog persona and he'd work wonders on this team since I think those are all things this team is lacking or could use more of. People questions whether he would work with Harden or not but I think it would work great since Harden is much too laid back and people assume Harden should be an Alpha by default because he's the best player on the team but that's just not him. Even if it meant losing Parsons we could find a stop-gap for him and I think he's rather easily replaceable the more I think about it. Parsons has a cult like following on this board and to a certain degree I can understand why but there are players he can be replaced with without sacrificing too much. In order of worst to best available.... James Johnson, Marvin Williams, Anthony Morrow, Mike Miller, Vince Carter, Diaw, Pierce, Tucker, Marion, Ariza, Deng. Obviously the gap between the first four guys is pretty big but if we could somehow rent Carter or Pierce before their retirement I think they'd fill in nicely. 1) Trade for Rondo. I'd rather give up Parsons rather than our other assets. I have a feeling Parsons is going to get PAID. A LOT! And his luster will diminish with his next contract. Everybody loves a bargain especially when it's a good product. Those days are numbered. 2) Try our best for PJ Tucker or Deng with the full 4 year MLE or hope to get Carter or Pierce with the 1 year deal around 4-5 Million. 3) Find a serviceable backup 4/5.
Asian Sensation: agree with everything you just said. Rockets really need a playmaker like Rondo. The only concern is his health. Rondo came back from injury and did not play like his old self.
My primary concern with Rondo is he's a psychopath head case and I don't think McHale could handle him.
I love Rondo as much as anyone, but if it takes Parsons to get him, I'd rather just sign Lowry outright with a huge offer.

They drafted Ennis with the 18th pick and have Ish Smith on a unguanteed deal. How many PGs do they need?
Hoping he'l go to the suns, that for sure would open the door on trade talks for Dragic a little bit. If we strike out on Bosh, Dragic would be a excellent player to go after. Best part is that we wouldn't have to clear any space to get him, we could do the trade whenever we want too. 4 team trade idea between Rockets, Suns, Pelicans and 76'ers Motiejunas, Capela, Pelicans and Rockets 2015 1st to Phoenix Dragic, Young to Rockets Lin, Rivers and Rockets 2017 first to Philadelphia Asik to New Orleans
Not a bad trade for all teams involved. I think PHX could probably get better value for Dragic, though.
i dont understand pheonix... Bledsoe, Dragic, Ennis, and now Isiah? thats possibly 4 starting pg on the same team.

Bledsoe is an RFA and Dragic will opt out soon since he is woefully underpaid. This may be a good opportunity to lock up IT2 at a discount

Suns doing a nice job:

Wow! Great visit so far! Feels weird to be so wanted! Sounds like the Suns really know how to make players feel loved and wanted, I remember Dragic also was really happy with the their meeting.
lakers are a mess and he'll have to compete with established nba players to be the 3rd guard in dallas.
