What if we gave up on Bosh and Parsons and went after Ryan Anderson and Luol Deng? Trade Asik for Ryan Anderson...trade Lin for cap space as we have planned to do.. Make the same moves we were gonna make for the Bosh 19 mil minus the Anderson 8.4 mil (same contract as Asik). That means you have ~11-12 million to offer Deng as a starting salary on a contender. Anderson avg 20ppg last year off the bench before he got hurt and started next to Dwight in Orl. The protected pick we are getting from NO is only useful if Minnesota will accept it in a trade for Love. If not what do we need it for..no other star is available for trade so screw the pick and take Anderson for Asik. Thoughts?

I don't think Anderson and Deng give us a better team than Lin, Asik, and Parsons. We shouldn't trade them unless it is to actually improve the team. They are all still assets.
I disagree. Anderson is a starter and 18-20 point scorer on this team who is deadeye from 3..his contract is up in 2 years..Deng is a better 2 way player than Parsons so he fits our need for perimeter D next to Harden..add to that the fact that Lin, Parsons, and Asik have an axe to grind with the Rockets and do not want to be here...
Also Parsons offensive numbers are inflated due to our style of play and his high minutes per game count. Deng is actually a better scorer and defender while Parsons is a better ball handler and passer.
Not about who's the best player. It's about who's the best fit. And Deng can't do what Chandler can do in out system. A guy that size that can handle the ball, shoot, and finish at the rim is rare.
I'm gonna ride this free agency storm up at the lake. Last time I went to the lake during the early days of July, Dwight signed with us! :grin:
Parsons combination of length, handle, finishing ability, and shooting is indeed unique. Deng cannot do offensively what Parsons can.
