Jones is well worth a mid 1st rounder in my opinion. I know he disappeared in the playoffs because of the bad matchup with Aldridge BUT during the the regular season he showed lots of potential. I remembered a few color commentators saying he is a budding star in the league (I think on TNT).

We could at least get Tucker.

Yes, but only if Morey knew that the offer sheet hasn't been signed. By all account, we though it was signed last night, why would Cuban allow the delay of the signing, that part doesn't make sense. It was supposed to be Cuban's big "FU" to Morey.

THIS! Just give Cleveland a sweetener and get Deng

Adding Deng + Bosh to the Rockets roster (minus Parsons and his max contract) would be great. Big defensive upgrade!

If we are willing to trade Parsons for a TPE expect our next move to be TPE + Jones+ NOP pick to Boston for Rondo.

    Rondo
    Bev
    Harden
    Bosh
    Howard.

That doesn't look terrible to me. I'd take that over having Parsons any day.

Except harden isn't a SF and will get torched. Bev isn't a shooter

This lineup fails. Move bev to 6th man and find a 3 and D SF then it works

Maybe it is not signed. We don't know what Parsons signed last night. Does he even know?

As long as it is not submitted. One can always claim it was never signed...

    Once again.

We can sign and trade for Bosh, Lin and Motiejunas to Philly or Bucks, Asik to Pelicans for pick, Bosh to Houston, picks to Miami.

Then we can sign and trade Parsons to Dallas for potentially Marion(s&t), TPE and a future pick.

Then will then still have our full MLE, BAE and the TPE from the Parsons trade, allowing us to build a very nice bench around a team of

    Beverley
    Harden
    Marion
    Bosh
    Howard

So this is what it's like to be a Nuggets fan after Iggy went to the team that knocked them out of the playoffs.

James Harden defended power forwards this past season at points. I think he would be fine against most SF. Rondo has guarded LeBron in the past. Beverly can shoot just fine.

Tucker is restricted and the Suns have the cap room to sign LeBron twice over.

The cost would be very high. By a SnT, Dallas can keep the rights to almost all of their current players....Carter, Marion, Blair, and others. Essentially their entire team + Parsons.

I'd want virtually every tradable pick they have available. I might also tell them to find a place for Lin that doesn't cost us anything (ie they need to attach an asset and find someone with a large enough TPE).

So a 3 team deal would look like this:

    Dallas In: Parsons
Dallas Out: Picks, an asset to attach to Lin, TPE to Houston

Houston In: Picks, TPEs for both Lin and Parsons
    Houston Out: Parsons and Lin

3rd team In: Lin, asset from Dallas
3rd team out: TPE to Houston

Then we would probably turn around and try to turn Bosh into a SnT, using New Orleans and Asik to facilitate the deal.

    Houston In: Bosh
Houston Out: Asik, DMo, non-guaranteed contracts, one of our euros

Miami In: NOP pick, Dmo, euro
    Miami Out: Bosh

    NOP In: Asik
    NOP Out: 1st round pick

That leaves us with Bosh, our MLE, BAE, and 2 massive TPEs. Obviously we can't use all of this, but we'd have a lot of flexibility.

I was thinking something exactly along those lines.

    1) Handshake agreement to S&T Parsons.
    2) Trade Asik for 4-19.
    3) Trade Lin to Mavs for future 2nd rd pick.
    4) Sign Bosh with cap space.
    5) S&T Parsons to Dallas for TPE with bird rights
    6) Use TPE + similar 2nd rd pick Dallas for Marion (redundant in Dallas).

Dallas comes out with Parsons, a PG and neutral on picks.
Houston comes out with Bosh, Marion (3) and neutral on picks and doesn't lose their 1st round pick

Marion is a nice piece on a cheap deal in limited minutes. He is not a starter anymore, not for a championship hopeful team.
