Sorry I don't understand, wouldn't signing Bosh first use up all of our capspace? We cannot afford Ariza/Marion/Deng if we sign Bosh, at all.

If we get something back for Chandler, then I'll be pretty happy.

He's gonna fit right in with Dallas. Nightclub douchers and affliction shirts.

We could potentially do it in this order:

    1) Agree to S&T With Dallas, but don't submit it
    2) Trade Lin/Asik for cap space
    3) Sign Bosh with cap space
    4) Sign & Trade Parsons using bird rights to Dallas, creating a TPE
    5) Use TPE in another transaction for a new SF such as Ariza/Deng/Pierce depending on amount

Perhaps that is what Morey is trying to sort out.

Put it this way. If the Rockets get Bosh , it's all in for the win. No good alternatives available at his position. T-Whack in the end was getting paid 20M+ when he was a broken down and lesser player than Parsons.

He also hit a bunch of annoying 3 pointers for Dallas against us in the regular seaosn. I'd pay him to not do that.

If Morey really does S&T Parsons, does basketballholic go on a suicide watch?

Personally, I don't see the Dallas S&T myself. May work, but I doubt it. That's a bad contract, but talent is still preferable to less talent when you're trying to win a title.

This will also be useless if the TPE is only 50% of Parsons starting salary (Base Year Compensation).

I feel like this is just Morey stalling and just acting like hes ready to lose parsons. Just so he has enough time to pull off all the deals needed to sign Bosh and then go ahead and match whatever stupid contract Dallas signs Parsons to.

TPE of just over $7 million is not useless. That's more than the MLE.

If Parsons only counts as 7M, then they're talking Lin? Ugh, that could be too tempting for Morey. Especially with Philly's high asking price for their cap space. Lin was such a bad signing.

Still, getting Parsons and Bosh makes it very, very difficult to build a bench. It might be better to S&T Parsons and try to build our bench.

What if Morey called them and say hey guys, why not do a S&T I will give you first round, for Marion, etc... just to get them interested, so they can delay the the process. Point is, once they submit the offer sheet, S&T is out of the question.

I agree, I don't see it personally. It is possible though if Morey just doesn't value Parsons at those dollars. Maybe Dallas throws us a first round pick or a couple of picks.
