    Morey could conceivably be floating the idea of a sign and trade to buy time for the Bosh deal to be sorted out.

    How much remaining cap room do the Mavs have? They know the Rockets need to dump Lin, Jones, and Motiejunas.

    They probably have enough left over to offer to take Jones and/or Motiejunas. I think they were rumored to be interested in Motiejunas when word got out he wanted to be traded.

    Love this line of thinking. Now Mavs have to make a decision on do we really want this guy or not. Morey probably said you can have him if we do a fair sign and trade, otherwise we are matching. Probably catching Mavs off guard a bit.

    This is what the processing screams. They are doing what Morey did with Lin last year. Trying to find any sort of hole to really make it hard for us to match, the beauty is that, if we already have Bosh, which they are giving us time to do, matching won't really hurt us. Keep processing Donnie Boy, Based God is gonna your and you're gonna love it. Marion come on down.

    Wow, Nelson rescuing both Cuban from his self(or rather friendship with Fegan), while also helping the Rockets by not making the situation so poisonous.

    I guess this means the possibility of Parsons just signing a contract with us, hence making his cap hit slightly lower to help Bosh's max, is still possible.

    agree, the fact the Mavs are willing to do any kind of S&T with the hated-Daryl Morey means that they are worried we will sign bosh AND parsons, or we might just sign him outright (no Bosh etc). By putting an S&T on the table, they are indicating that they will soften the blow for Houston by getting some pieces back in return, so we don't lose him for nothing...which Les and Morey may just not be willing to stomach.

    I really don't think so. He didn't say anything bad about the Rockets. He didn't change his social media to the Mavericks. All he did was pose for pictures with Mark Cuban and what was he supposed to do? The man just gave him 46 million dollars guaranteed, he isn't going to refuse pictures.

    Sign & trade for Bosh, Sign & Trade with Mavs swapping Marion and Parsons possible additional asset coming our way, including Asik and Lin to 3rd or 4th teams. Still have MLE. Rejoice

    They and the rest of the league know the Rockets can't offer Bosh the max without first dumping Lin, Jones, and Motiejunas. The Mavs have got the cap space to exploit that.
