If the Rockets were to sign Bosh at the max and not match Parsons, how much money would they have available to replace him and who would be a realistic option with that money?

IMO, id swing for the fences with Kostas Papanikolaou or Alessandro Gentile.

Does anyone else find it funny that 3 of the last 5 acquisitions were small forwards? I think its obvious Morey has been thinking about contingencies for Parsons getting traded or losing him in FA for some time now.

If you call up either one of these guys and tell them that they are most likely losing Parsons and want to sign them for part of or most of the MLE, I think they both take it. That's as good of an NBA situations as they are going to get to come over to.

Papanikolaou is the more established player, and comes with a much bigger frame (6'9"). He's a rangy left handed shooter, but is not very athletic. However the guy has competed as a super high level in Europe, and I would feel the most comfortable bringing him over and knowing your at the very least going to get a similar type of performance that he gives in the Euroleague.

Gentile I really dont know that much about. He's a bit smaller but seems to be alot more mobile with the basketball. I've heard the Delfino comparison more than once.

There is also giving the keys to Robert Covington. The guy can shoot at the very least. I also like his length and size defensively if he commits. The ball handling and playmaking though will be zilch. Its pretty much catch and shoot with this guy, but he comes at the league minimum.

we can develop another Parsons...if we got KJ McDaniels from the Lin trade..or Jeff Taylor from the hornets.

Agree. McDaniels looks like a genuine stopper. Could bring Garcia back at vet min for mentoring.

Only one problem he plays the same position as this guy we traded for two years ago. James Harden , they're both shooting guards, if Stephenson plays small forward he's undersized and can easily be taken out of his rhythm, see Atlanta playoff series 2014

I think Aroza is an even better for than Parsons. How much would he cost in this inflated market for the utility swingman?

Deng isn't affordable. Tucker is, and you won't see much drop in performance.
