So, I guess Morey standing up to Jeremy Lin and making some of you people proud is really working in the Rockets favor now, eh?

So, will Morey stand up to Parsons and made you people even more proud?

    Pride parade!

when this thread was created, I didn't bother clicking on it, because it was an obvious Jeremy Lin BFF thread. If it's not Tracy, it's Jeremy.

    way to go tinman.

Everyone knows that Chandler and Jeremy are boys, but I'm not saying the dissing of Lin made Chandler leave, but I'm sure he thought about it. Chandler left because Cubes is stupid enough to pay him 15mil

    yeah, you're an idiot.

Yea, Shroop. TM is here for a reason but it is not to unite his group of Templar Knights.

Indiana and Chicago were ranked 1-2 in opponents TS%

Houston was ranked #6 in opponents TS% and Miami was ranked #22. But yet Houston's defense sucks. Weird stat...

Also it's meaningless because the offense that is so "efficient" as you say lost to a team that was #24 ranked in defense.

Those two teams you speak of don't play at as fast of pace as the Rockets and don't shoot as many 3's as the Rockets _ two things that hurt your defense.

Houston also played at a fast pace, so there will be more shots in a Rockets game than most

Indiana and Chicago are two of the most slow paced defensive geared teams in the league. Wonder why they didn't cut it? Their offense was dog crap. 19th and 30th in EFF% and 18th and 26th in TS%

Our supremely efficient offense lost to a team with a dog crap defense because our defense was even crappier. It had nothing to do with offense. Our offense did what it was supposed to do against terrible defense and the numbers show that. Our defense didn't do what it was supposed to and the numbers show it.

The spurs play at a pace very similar to us. Honestly people highly overrate how much of a difference teams with a high pace play compared to your average team. Were talking about an average difference of a few possessions a game.

And still your fascination with the amount of 3 point attempts we take compared to other teams and how it effects anything we are talking about still confuses me. Why the hell does it matter? The difference in the number of attempts isn't huge. 4-5 attempt difference per game? Our offense works. All the numbers I have provided show it and those same numbers have a very strong correlation to success and not just 1st round 2nd round success, getting to the damn Finals success. Doesn't matter how ugly it looks, it gets results. The difference is defense.

And just in case you didn't like EFF% and TS% I went ahead and looked at our points per shot attempt and compared it to those same recent finals teams.

This season we were tied for 1st in PPS. Miami was tied with us at the top and SA was tied for 5th.

The season before the 2 teams in the finals were tied for 1st and 3rd in PPS. For reference we were 3rd.

The year before that the 2 teams in the finals were 1st and tied for 3rd in PPS.

The year before that the 2 teams in the finals were tied for 1st and tied for 5th in PPS.

Crazy how it keeps coming up that the teams in the top 5 of EFF%, TS% and PPS continue to show up in the finals. Something we have got down.

    Defense. Defense. Defense.

There is not a damn thing wrong with our offensive strategy.

you'd leave Houston too and dawn a Mavericks shirt and wear a Cowboys jersey for $15 million a year

    Morey is still a badass

i just know your history here

you don't like Morey for obvious reasons

Trying to get Melo, Bron, Bosh, Love etc. Morey is working his butt off, so if someone offers Parsons 15 million , what do you do?

Tough decisions, but we are on the right track as an organization, except we need to go back to the old uniforms

This is not a black and white situation, George W.

I like Morey personally. As a GM he did good things. But like everyone he should be scrutinized.

Your nice little catching phrase is not going to help Morey.

Overpaying happens and it aint mystery.
Clubbing with Cuban I would not call it treason but it tells you he thinks Cuban is more fun than Morey.

As there is no loyalty among certain players I can't blame Parsons personally but I am entitled to my opinion to dislike him.

This is going down as the worst off-season since Morey started if indeed McHale is here, an overpaid Parsons is here or gone, the only 'big' signing and we have no real bench again.
