Les was willing to pay $15 million for a season of Lin and Asik, but you think he won't pay Chandler? It seems like he has spoken of a willingness to spend a few times. I don't think it takes three days to hear from LeBrosh. One of those guys will be here next year, if not both. Marley won't come up empty handed, he's iron lion Zion and I'd be very surprised if he got outplayed by the likes of Mork Coben

Maybe Parsons is smiling so because he's about to make 15 mills and knows something Mr. Cubing doesn't?

True, but people are acting as if we are completely doomed already. That there is no chance that anything good can happen.

There's nothing to say we absolutely will get useful guys to come here and there's nothing to say we absolutely won't. Lots of things are still up in the air and too many people are acting as if it's all over already.

I honestly think we can get him. I have a feeling Harden sabotaged it when Melo came over. Harden has a soft spot for him.

Bosh is hated for waiting and Parsons is hated for not waiting. The haters' principle that unites these two position is "F the players. It's all about me me me!"

Lol. Should Parsons get paid. Sure yeah. Does he have to run over to the Enemy. Hell no.

It is all legal but it does not make it a nice move by him. Obviously he thought that through.

And Cuban was an a-hole that could not get over losing out on the Dwight sweepstakes.

Conclusion: Chandler is not a 'nice loyal' guy to me anymore, just another product

It's always a challenging situation during free agency. 3yr 4500m is an offer better than HOU gave him. It's unfortunate that it's often hard to handle. Reality is it's standard practice. He may not like that, but SF is obviously Carmelo Anthony's position, that's the position he wants to play. He told us that. Bottom line, if Melo comes he has to play off the bench or get traded elsewhere for starter position, it's just math.
Karma happens and this time happens soon.

Hakeem would leave the Rockets now if the Mavericks paid him $15 million for 3 years.

No hate to Parsons, he was a great Rocket.

Which was exactly how Morey was treating him - an asset, like everybody else save for Howard and Harden. All that talk about glue guy, homegrown talent... but when Love front opened up, he was immediately in the trade talks.

So if your team isn't loyal to you, why should you be loyal? The team cares about winning and you care about your career, why is this so hard to comprehend...

Also if Parsons would give us a discount, say 4y/$44m, he would instantly become a great trade asset and end up in Minnesota or worse. Why would he do that?

If you want loyal players, the organization needs to be loyal first AKA Spurs

Woj reported Parsons and Morey talked the contract throughout day, and didn't get agreement.

If Morey is willing to match Cuban's offer, he will say "I'll give you the same number, please wait for a few days after we use all of our cap room" then withdraw the QO to give Bosh more money, then re-sign Parsons.

Current situation just shows Morey had said bye-bye with Parsons, we will no-longer match this offer. So we can't complaint Parsons about signing time.

I just checked the Mavs forum. They are classier and friendlier and less whinier than here but that's none of my business. What is my business is that they actually think we gon match. Lol

And how was he treating him like an asset? He let him out of his contract one year early! Some of you have a bizarre axe to grind with Morey and look for any reason to bash him. Some of you just like drama. To both groups, please calm the hell down. Your emo meter is about to crack.

I am understanding what you are saying. It is legit. But turn to Lowry.

For example Lowry was an ascending player. He got traded and went through the rumor mill.

At the end the players will always regret not giving it all for Houston when it mattered the most (playoffs, important games, and games playing for McHale)

Lowry has found his peace but they sure got distracted.

Do I think Parsons is an important player? Helll yes. He is not worth that kind of money.

Above all overpaying young players is like giving them the poison pill. There is a chance they get infected and deteriorate.

You earn your contract, that is how it was in the past.

The Mavs do not give him the chance to contend either, they are worse because Nowitzki is on the decline.
And Cuban is squeezing the last ooze out of him.
It is not just about loyalty, when superstars were discarding the Mavs as a declining franchise, Parsons was one of the first to hop on the train.

He could have done so much better winning-wise.
As Lowry Parsons if he wants to win, is very likely to regret this.

IMO it is not a good situation for him. I am not saying this as a Rocket fan.

Which forum? Every fan site has a different voice. Spurstalk is notorious for its vitriol, but that doesn't mean all Spurs fans are the same way.
