Mavs sign Chandler Parsons to 3-year, $46M offer sheet

I wonder why the Rockets didn't just tell him not to sign and promise him the damn contract but allow them to get a PF first. Don't think they would screw Dan Fegan especially since he is the rep for Howard. Should have got him to just chill a couple of days.

Is dumping Jones really worth it? It's already gotten to a point that he's really underrated.

 

Just because he's unrestricted doesn't mean he'd go somewhere else. The rockets make good on an offer and can also present a winning environment (w.e success they could have achieved).

The reactions from this thread are actually pretty funny. Just the other day I was reading about how the NBA was all a business and came down to the $$$, anybody that said otherwise was being a wuss. The rockets lowballed CP and put him in this position, well Morey really. He overplayed his hand and will have to shove that same hand up his you know what.

WOj tweeted that both HOU and Parsons negotiated a contract but couldnt come to terms. Makes me believe that Morey was not willing to commit to give him as much as DAL offered.

And you can bet that Cuban made sure he had to sign it right away or he was taking the offer away.

 

Don't worry Parsons. We will get Bosh when Lebron bolts, then we will deal you next off-season for a true star... No worries.

I understand why Fegan made this deal happen... maybe the Rockets told him if you offer this much then we won't match.

It seems like Parsons is gone already, but if Morey matches. I expect him to exploit this deal to the fullest come next off-season.

Screw Parsons. Don't dump TJones for him

 

The fact he signed an offer sheet with the mavs proves to the contrary. Chandler raped Cuban in that deal. If the rockets low balled CP, the mavs gave him everything he wants, and more.

 

Mavs probably told him to sign it or they move on.

 

The only thing I can think of is Parsons got pissed at Morey during negotiations, and Cuban (acting as the douche he is) pounced on the opportunity to overpay.

 

Which means we're likely not matching that offer. That explains the rumor of Morey reaching out to Luol Deng earlier today.

Adding Jameer Nelson, Metta World Peace, Ariza or Deng and Birdman.

Using our Mle for Nelson and our Room Exception for Andersen. Sign MWP to Vet, and Sign Deng for 10- 12 Mil for 3 or 4 Years.
