I have to believe this picture was HEARTILY approved by Parsons in order to annoy Darryl and Les.

What a dick move. The kid was treated incredibly well by this franchise with the chance they took on him, the extra faith money and contract he got when NOBODY knew if he was a bust or not and for also letting him become restricted and getting his money a year early.

    F__K him.

Dude just got guaranteed a beast salary after dropping to the 2nd round and being grossly underpaid. Our fan side doesn't like it...but we would have reacted the same way to 45 mil.

What really pisses me off is that not only did he go sign with the enemy but he also started the clock on Diva Lebron James.

I just don't believe that the King Diva of the NBA is gonna make a decision anytime soon.
Then he takes a deal that he knows the Rockets won't match.

Throw in losing Asik/Lin and we look like an 8th seed.
    If that.

This is what I needed to see.

The hurt of this situation shouldn't be levelled at Parsons imo. Who here can say they wouldn't be happy as can be with 15m a year. Morey matches and he gets paid anyway, it's the feeling of being the losers that hurts me the most at this point. Fair play to Parsons, he deserved it.

I don't think so. I think Morey gambled for the homerun and might lose huge if Bosh, Melo, or a Love trade doesn't go down in the next three days. He had to know the risks and the amount of teams with huge cap room. If he'd just taken the option and didn't get a big free agent he could still sign several mid level guys. Instead it's sign a big free agent now or you're stuck overpaying for a solid/good small forward or losing him for nothing.

Maybe Parsons was put off by the Melo chase. They might have photoshopped Melo into Lin's number, but remember that Melo plays Parsons' position. Melo plays PF, too, but IIRC he prefers playing SF.

Who knows what is behind the scenes? Maybe the Rockets lowballed him on contract offers to give the max to Bosh and stay under either the tax line or the hard cap (if using a S&T).

Maybe he doesn't like Dwight or Harden after a season with them. All speculations until more info comes out.

Wait...you're blaming this on CP? This was probably a take it or leave it deal. Morey was the one that told Parsons that he'd pay him based on what the market decided by making him a RFA.

Les doesnt mind shelling out money, so as long as bosh doesnt remain indecisive, we should be ok. Paying the luxury will be worth it.

Let's not get it twisted. Chandler worked hard to get to this point and it was mutually beneficial for he and the Rockets that he became the quality player that he is.

Doesn't make this photo less douchey. Pretty low blow to Rockets fans. I'd have hoped he was above Cuban's pettiness.

Looking forward to details of his meeting with Morey, as well as tone of it all. Something must have happened to p*ss Parsons off.

I don't think it does in the overall scheme of things, but I think it had a role in it. I think today's NBA is a little bit too "bro-friendly"

Plus KD is about his brand. Jay Z will try to talk him into going to NYC as well and I could see KD wanting to play for Fish the d bag...

I don't blame Chandler for signing the contract at all. What rubs me the wrong way is how quickly it took for him to change his twitter pics and that stupid grin on his face next to Mark Cuban of all people.
