"Bran" "wtf now, man ****" "Wud you still lobe me if I grew out ma dreds again?" "da faq?" "Its k, ill keep it short for you." "Man, just go to hust'in." *Gasp* "Bran, no bran, please no"
You guys in we would get Ariza or Deng for the MLE? That seems doubtful to me. Deng made 14 mill last year. Ariza is restricted which always drives the price up. We won't be able to get anything close to Parson's production with the MLE. Plus we would still need to fill out the rest of the roster. If we get Bosh matching Parsons is the best thing to do if you want to truly contend NOW. Don't think for a second that Dwight and Harden won't bolt if they dont even sniff a shot at a title... Soon. Loyalty doesn't exist in this league anymore. If you want to retain your players you have to pay them, and you have to compete. Keep in mind that this isn't a glamour city. These guys aren't here for the bright lights. They're here to make a lot of money, and win championships. Time for Les to put his money where his mouth is.
This is the situation right now for Bosh and Parsons (A) Gut the entire team except for Harden, Howard, Beverly. Sign Bosh for a little less than the max outright and then match Parsons. And then you sign minimum salary guys. (B) SnT for Bosh and lose Parsons (C) Get starting stretch 4 (Ilyasova, Anderson, etc), match Parsons, upgrade bench. Any option would have to take place in 3 days
Of course I know that, but he could have easily agreed to this deal with Morey and signed it immediately after Bosh signed. He didn't.....what does that tell you? And I would also say that this means Morey and Parsons weren't close on the offer. Morey wanted 4 to 5 years at $11 to 12 million per....Parsons wanted the full-max for 2 (player option 3) so he could benefit from the rumored big cap jump in 2016. That's pretty far apart IMO.
https://twitter.com/spearsnbayahoo/status/487089930808487936 CUBAN IS ALREADY IN FLORIDA TO MAKE THE DEAL HAPPEN WITH PARSONS! FOR GOD SAKES, MAKE THE DECISION LEBRON! Or even better, SAY YES TO HOUSTON OR STAY IN MIAMI BOSH! MAKE THE DECISIJON!!!!!
Morey was negotiating with Parson's agent all day. I am sure he was made aware of the offer from Cuban and given the option to match it or top it. Had Morey agreed orally to match it, Parsons never gets the offer sheet... The Rockets pull the Restriction on Parsons and can give Bosh the max. The fact that the Rockets didn't do that, means they can only offer Bosh 19 million. The ONLY reason Morey doesn't agree orally is if the Rockets are not keeping Parsons if the get Bosh.
It's a fair question. I would imagine he'd think the Rockets are a much better team with Parsons than without him, but who knows if it's a dealbreaker?
I think he'd want to go to one of the few teams willing to pay him max money if the Miami plan doesn't work out. That we are still contenders even without parsons is bonus.
Bosh is in ****ing Africa. I just cant see us having the time sign him before we have to match Parsons.
