I think morey did the right thing,I just disagree with his process. Why do all that stuff of a guy like bosh and do basically nothing fr your own? I would match parsons. What are the options? Don't match, deng goes back to chicago, bosh goes back to miami, then what? I guess another option could be rondo at his tag and sign someone at the 3. The options for small forwards are very, very slim right now. Parsons is the 4 or 5 best sf in the league.

of course match; otherwise we lose an asset. it doesn't matter how much he gets paid.

He isn't an asset because matching his offer sheet would prevent the team from upgrading the roster in the next THREE years.

Lebron, Durant, melo, George, iggy,Leonard. Those are all guys I'd take over him no question...and then there a whole lot of other guys where it's debatable...batum, Wilson chandler, healthy galonari, Hayward...even Parker and wiggins....Harrison Barnes...deng...and then there's a bunch of guys who'd probably be downgrades overall, but could adequately fill in...Ariza, Marion type guys...

That would give us 3 max players on the roster that did not get out of the first round. NO THANK YOU!!!!

If we get Bosh, yes. If not, I'm unsure. My view changes often.

My thoughts exactly. In a couple of years, Chandler's deal will not seem so excessive.

    Y'know...
    I would take a $15 million Parsons over a $22 million Bosh.

In a couple of years, Chandler's contract will not even be on the books. It is a double edged sword though. We won't be able to build enough depth to compete.

Because we've watched the guy for 3 years. A coach can't make you a max caliber player when you aren't.

Carlisle had a full roster in Dallas, and I only saw one guy playing like a max player. It'll be the same this year.

We rid Asik contract and Lin is up next , those contracts altogether equal to $15 millions so it is not like Rockets will lose anything onParsons new contract if Morey match. I would match Parsons because he is very important player for Rockets.

But losing him would downgrade the team going into this upcoming season. I don't see anyone out there who can be had for cheap who'll replace Parsons' production. If the Rockets miss out on Bosh and let Parsons walk, they can hold onto that cap space for someone else, but odds are good they'll go into 2014-15 with an inferior roster(not to mention coaching staff). Which means it's first round and done yet again(assuming they even make the playoffs).

And look ahead to 2015. What quality free agents are available who'll come to a team that has accomplished nothing in the postseason in nearly two decades save for 2009 and will be looking at the potential scenario of Dwight Howard opting out a leaving a year later?

Morey rolled the dice on this offseason and he may have just lost everything.

I would match it. Even though I was expecting around $12-$13M per, but seeing what some other FAs are getting this year, I think its fair market value. He is a versitile player, who can hit the three and also drive to the basket and finish well. He is the glue guy for our team. If he can fix his defense, he is worth $15M easily.
