Yes we do. If we acquire Bosh in a SNT with Lin/Asik as out going pieces (76ers and Pelicans) we retain our MLE. We retain Jones. We retain the ability to completely screw the Mavs!

Unless Asik and Lin were going to Miami (which they aren't) we wouldn't be able to match the salary of Bosh to pull off a trade

That makes no sense. We would have had bird rights and been able to offer him the most money. Unless he held some grudge for being held to the contract he signed, he would have been here another year for sub-million then signed here for slightly more money than what this contract is. Les pockets 14 million up front.

Marion was paid about 9 million last year. He is still productive, but has definitely fallen off some, so he will be getting a paycut next year.

Honestly, I don't think we will have our MLE unless we match Parsons and don't get Bosh. But I still think we would have a shot to get him for less than our MLE, maybe with our room exception

Both Parsons and Lin felt disrespected with the courting of Melo (CP's position and Lin's #).

Lin posted being "disrespected" on Twitter and I had a sense Parsons probably felt the same way.

They know it's a business but they are human. So it's no fault of Parsons to go out and get his $$$.

Hope Morey pulls something good out of this or this upcoming season is looking weak.
