Not necessarily in this situation, but just because something works in one game, doesn't mean it won't affect the next game. The main reason Veres is in tonight is because Sipp and Fields were both used to pitch an extra inning in a 6 run and 5 run win the past 2 nights and are most likely unavailable.
I did say "IF". Actually, I don't look at it this simply either. If you want to apply hindsight, and say Bo forced his own hand by his decisions a game or two ago, then OK. But the 8th inning setup guy is the role Veras is pegged for. So pitching 1 out in the 7th is not a stretch really.
