This may sound stupid, but...what's the point? They rode it out till they lost in the finals. There's nothing wrong with that. Move on to a new chapter - it's something they all obviously want to do anyway. Adding one more finals appearance/ring just delays the inevitable. Move on already and try to win a ring on a new team now.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Told strongly that Chris Bosh hasn't made any contingency decision w/Rockets, & "whatever is being reported in that regard is simply false."</p>— David Aldridge (@daldridgetnt) <a href="https://twitter.com/daldridgetnt/statuses/487053350127423489">July 10, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Tethering ourselves to Bosh at $22 mil coming off his two worst years at 30 w/out keeping Parsons is hard for me. I'd rather try grabbing Bledsoe. I'd rather roll the dice on Durant Love LA or Rondo (or Bledsoe) next year.
Isn't that a bit of a useless tweet from Aldridge? We know Bosh intends to leave if Lebron leaves. As far as we know, he hasn't spoken to a team other than Houston. So what's Aldridge's alternate theory? If it's another team he should state it.
this dude was on nba tv today saying Melo hasnt chosen NY or any other team for that matter. Then they interviewed Isola and he said Melo chose NY already. everyone has different sources im sure we'll know more tomorrow
Waiting for Adrian Wojnarowski to report anything differently. Taking everything else with a grain of salt.
Rondo, Dragic (Player option.. WILL DEF TAKE), Rudy Gay, Kawhi Leonard (RFA most likely), Love, Millsap, LMA, M. Gasol (not likely w/ Howard), Al Jefferson (player option), and I'm sure alot more might hit RFA. Dragic/Rondo/Millsap are three major targets and the Rockets in this scenario could go all the way to the max. Next year would be tough to watch since they are losing 3 major rotation players (Parsons, Asik, Lin), but you never know how some youngsters might step up in their absence as well. Really in all honesty, Morey would be torched at first for letting Parsons walk, and missing on Bosh, BUT.... honestly.... in the end, there is a high likelihood that Parsons doesn't live up to the contract, and Bosh has a decline next year (could def. see both happening), and Morey gets a couple youngsters to produce, he could come out of that situation looking like a genius.
I really thought today was going to be the day Lebron chose where he's going. Instead we get no news except the great news on getting ****ed with Parsons contract.
I still remember that David Aldridge "broke the news" that Damon Stoudamire was traded to the Houston Rockets...which never happened.
