All the people saying he's not worth it and we shouldn't match aren't getting it.

Match, pay him for a year then trade him if you have to. That trade kicker may be a hindrance, but if trading him is necessary it can be done and will probably get us something in return rather than just letting him walk for nothing.

It's not like we are going to have a ton of cap space anyway.

I think the plan is to use whatever cap space we have before the 3 day matching period ends then match Parsons at the last minute. No sense in losing an asset for nothing.

We can't sign and trade Parsons, which leads me to believe he will definitely be matched.

Even if we can't get Bosh, I fully expect us to use all of our cap space.

Look a signing of Gasol, Hill, Deng, Chalmers, Augustin and or other smaller named free agents.

We didn't do him a huge favor.

We did it to keep him restricted.

It's business. He waits, Cuban spends his money elsewhere.

He hasn't shown a commitment to defense over the last two season, so he's not worth the money.

His one elite skill is his ability to finish around the basket, but he missed a ton of layups in that Portland series.

I don't know folks always want to talk about loyalty. You know as a player you can get traded at any time right (no trade clause being the exception of course)?

Unless they're giving you a no trade clause then there's really no reason to talk about loyalty.

Parson's paid back his contract and then some over the past few years.

Note I don't think he's worth 45 m for 3 years but that's just what the market dictated so more power to him for getting paid.

It's incredible how people can rip Morey before this whole situation has even played out.

Doesn't the 3 day clock start after the Rockets receive the signed offer sheet? Didn't the Lin signing take a while because the Knicks were hiding?

I can't hate on Parsons for doing what he feels he needs to, but he sure isn't playing ball like some thought he would. Cuts $1.1m from what Rockets can offer Bosh. Obviously don't want him back over Bosh, but not sure I want him back at all at this point.
