Could the Rockets be doing this (via Parsons) to pressure Bosh?

Doesn't this eliminate Dallas from contending in getting any other major free agent? This ****s up their cap situation for 3 days.

Keep in mind that there have long been rumors that when Howard signed with the Rockets, there was a "wink wink" agreement that the Rockets would let Parsons out of his deal a year early.

    How is that again?

He can't wait till we use our cap space? He is going to get his money regardless. We did him a huge favor by giving him his money early and he goes out and signs at 12:01 est and possibly ****s us?

Sorry, but no. That was d******d move and is a monumental setback.

Then they would have lost him for sure. Everyone needs to calm down until we see how this plays out.

I think we match it no problem. Try to add a player before out cap takes the hit but either way Chandler will have value under that contract because of the short length and the fact that he will still be young toward the end.

Maybe this is why Robin Crowley broke up with him?? She's all about Houston, and he went to effing DALLAS of all places! ;)

Like shasta said, I get the feeling he wanted to leave. That and the player option after the second year.

Even if we did match, he'd up and leave after 2 years and head to LA anyway. Hes all about the glitz and glamour and dallas would suffice for awhile until hes fully unrestricted and then just bolt.

No this is Parsons and his agent Dan Fegan making a power play. By not waiting for the Rockets to make a splash they really hurt us. I think Morey either a) told him to take a contract because we got Bosh in the bag or b) wouldn't get close to this number and Parsons showed little loyalty to the franchise and signed with a rival.

I hope it is choice a. If it is choice b, I hope he is booed immensely at Toyota Center every time he comes to the arena.
