Maybe against poor defense. His biggest strength is the ability to run everywhere and run fast. Handling passing and shooting-wise he's subpar.

I don't think he will fair well against Germany's back court though.

Robin Van Persie was a bum for Holland during the knockout stages.

If he had performed for them, Holland would have been in the finals.

This loss for the Dutch stinks so much.
Palacio might as well have finished his chance in extra time and not let this get to PK's and open up a Dutch wound.

    Gutted for Ron Vlaar.
Van Gaal also has to answer why he let his Centre half take the 1st penalty. This isn't a centre half that plays like David Luiz and takes dead balls at times.
You couldn't just let Robben take the 1st pk, use Vlaar #2 or 3 and let Huntelaar or Kuyt be #5?

Maybe Vlaar requested the 1st pk, that's when Van Gaal has to say step back and let Robben open it up for us and you can go 2nd or 3rd.

    Hindsight I guess.

The only fans that would hate this final more than Brazilians are English fans.

Germany AND Argentina in the finals?:mad::(

The only way it could be worse for an England fan is if Scotland was one of the two teams. This is still terrible.

    Let's go Germany!!!!

Honestly, I don't see Argentina beating us on Sunday. Not only do we have an extra day of rest and didn't have to play 120 minutes plus penalties, I also think we're simply the better team. Now, I realize anything can happen in a WC final, but I'm pretty confident. We got this.

Unless Messi turns on LeBron mode and plays the game of his life, I think Germany wins this one pretty easily.

Well if Germany fails, at least we know who to go after.

YOU SIR are not really German. What are you, half Austrian? half swiss? half American???
No real German comes out making such statements. That's way too confident(maybe overconfident?)

What say you Yung T and ATW, do you accept FaBo's statement? Do you shun him?

Again, sir. This is half true, half wrong. Some are pretty fond of Messi.

But yeah, after the 1:7 I really doubt every Brazilian would root for your team, Yung breh.

Darn straight I'm a bandwagoner, I watch very little soccer. But at least I'm interested and excited about a sport I barely know anything about. I'm not allowed to choose a team to go for?

    At least Mexico got booted.

Just my personal feelings, man. Of course there's a chance we'll lose, no doubt. But just based on what I've seen from both teams so far, especially in the semis, I don't see it. Hope I'm not wrong.

Lol. I find nothing with your post though. You are confident but I think everything can happen as well.

Germany should be the favorite. It is about choking or not choking.

Having Messi on the team is not all that bad and Argentinian defense is not that bad.

They put you into sleep and when you know it it is penalty time lol.

Sorry for arno and ACE though.

They acknowledge greatness, which is another reason they will all be rooting for us.

Their main chant during the game against us was something about Pele being great and Maradona being a cokehead. They might not dislike Messi as a person and might respect him for his skills, but trust me - all of Brazil will be behind Germany on Sunday.
