Yup. If Phil doesn't deliver with talent when the time comes as said then Melo will just demand a trade.
Worst decision ever. He'll never go to a winning team if he trades there because all of the assets will go to New York.
Good. Never wanted him anyway, and am slightly embarrassed about the effort we publicly put into this.
They just paraphrase and link to what others have written, but it's usually an established writer. Individual readers would have to decide how reliable each one is.

Never thought he would leave because the money for staying was just too much. Plus, New York is where he wants to be. These are more important than winning to Melo.
This is impossible! Melo is all about winning! Because he said so! And athletes never lie when it comes to money! He just wants to win! He just wants to win!!!! Carmelo: "Baby, I want to win. I'm gonna sign in Houston." LaLa: "WHAT?!?" Carmelo: "But, baby, you said wherever I wanted to sign..." LaLa: "Yes, 'wherever you want to sign'. New York. Or Los Angeles. Wherever you want to sign. What part of 'use them to force the Knicks' hand' did you not understand? I am NOT going to no got-damn Houston. You and James Harden can hit the strip clubs together, because I am NOT going to no po-dunk cowboy redneck humidity-fry-my-hair swamp. How am I gonna be able to do my movies? My shows? How am I gonna see my friends? How'm'I gonna look'em in the eye and tell'em we moving to Houston? That youse can visit when you want, maybe we'll go get some barbecue or some s***?" Carmelo: (after long pause and re-thinking everything REAL FAST) "Uh, PSYCHE! We're staying here babe! We ain't leavin! HA HA! You believed me!" LaLa: "Ha ha! Now that's funny. Houston. Ah, goodness, Melo, you ARE funny." Carmelo: "Say it with me babe...." Carmelo and LaLa in unison: "MO MONEY, MO MONEY, MO MONEY!"
I agree, he's always been about the money. I understand accepting the $129 Million, I don't knock him for that. That's why I didn't want him on this Rockets team (not a good fit compared to either Love or Bosh). That's why he forced the Nuggets to trade him to NYK even though the Nuggets were in the playoffs every year while he was there; he's not a leader, he only cared about being known as a "star" and not about winning rings.
Melo is Melo It really is that simple. At 18 he was all about basketball but not at 28. He kept Lala and his son happy. He will complain and demand a trade in 2 years if he changes his mind.
Awesome!!!! We dodged this clown for the second time!!! Now we just need to dodge Bosh for the second time as well!
I don't know about you but if Chandler Parsons is going to be our "third superstar" I'm going to be extremely pissed off. He's not going to live up to whatever contract he's going to get unless we sign him over the cap after signing a real third piece to the team.
Now did Melo choose to stay with NY or did his wife? Either way, Knicks are going to stink again next season. Good choice Melo.
