The way I look at it is if lbj and bosh stay in miami then morey does a sign and trade with love/parsons and we sign deng. If lbj goes to clev then we get bosh/parsons.

    It's a win win

Both Feigan and Amick have hinted at Deng being a replacement for Parsons if they don't get Bosh.

Okay, but if we cheaped out and didn't match, we still wouldn't have money for Deng, so I don't see how he would factor in.

I thought Deng would command the same money as Parsons. If that's the case I would rather keep Parsons.

I see your point though. Parsons and Deng play the same position.

Winning + money > Money alone.

And face it, if Riley loses Lebron he'll know what's up. They're not just gonna pay Bosh and Wade 24 million per year each as if they were Kobe, only to contend for a 6-8 seed for the next three years. Riley will implode that whole franchise if this happens.

I really can't see Riley offering him a max and keeping a team of baby knees wade and bosh for the long run at high pay. I think riley will pay Wade but perhaps try and undercut bosh or let him go and rebuild. I feel that Riley has loyalty with Wade.

That's the hope. The Lakers didn't want to.

Maybe losing Bosh means trading for Love. Parsons out, Deng in.

    Just a thought.

If we get bosh we are already overpaying. So if parsons demands the max, we cant be overpaying 2 players.

Would Deng ever take our MLE to come off the bench for a contender though?

Wouldn't take Miami's MLE so no, he won't take Houston's either. (If they were to have it or keep it, whatever.)

But if we sign and trade for Bosh, what assets would Miami want for Bosh???

Nope. Turned down Chicago's much more lucrative offer last season. Spurned the Heat this summer as well.

Is LeBron really going to make his decision tonight? I hope so. I don't know if after this meeting he is still going to take time to think...

I don't. That means even more waiting. More free agents signing elsewhere. More uncertainty for the team and the fans just to come out possibly empty handed....again.
