I kinda like the Hoping lineup but with a little twist. with that SnT with Phi for young and Mcdaniels, Grant for Lin, Donuts, Covington, Parsons our 1st 2015. Beverley / Cannan Harden / Johnson Deng / Mcdaniels / Grant Young / Jones Howard / Hill
Repped. Looking at the past few seasons...he seems like a decent option for a stretch 4 shooting from the corners. Does anybody think his %s would improve by having Howard, Harden, and parsons as teammates?
I guess. I've just felt he was gone based on the way they weren't having "fun" anymore. Then, with the way Wade looked, it cemented it for me. Just felt he was leaving for a better roster and at the same time "making it right" with his hometown. Felt he WANTED to go home and try to bring them a championship.
I mean, morey also called the mavs about dirk because he thought dwight was going to golden state.... Just sayin
Incorrect. This was talked about in the Rockets about to make Parsons RFA thread, but here's the quick version of the rule from cbafaq. Edit: To add, this rule makes sense because otherwise, you can use the end-of-season trades to dump salaries and such, like the Rockets can just trade Asik to the Pelicans for a bunch of expirings and then waive them immediately. It would be a pretty big loophole if it weren't for this rule.
Cyber hit me up, I live on the North Side and only have the best dro and oils. I make it my self been doing it for a couple years now. You need something good to remind you of home I got what you want. On the house for all the wonderful things you do for us here at Clutchfans. I have lurked here for 10 yrs and this finely made me register and make a post. I guess you got me with both of my loves THC and the Rockets.
This. I'm pretty sure that once the 3 or 4 people around Lebron that probably know whats going to happen let the cat out of the bag, we will find out either through Cyberx or Woj or someone that will catch wind. If Lebron is meeting today with Riley and their capologist (assistant GM) you have to think that Miami is still in play and we still have another day or two before we get solid info out of Lebron's camp. To me this screams of Morey doing his due diligence to be prepared for anything. I dont think anyone knows for sure what is going to happen with Lebron, which means nobody knows what that means for Melo, and then Bosh, and so on and so forth.
I know I'll catch a lot of crap for lurking and being a Mavs fan but just wanted to get a feel as to why most of y'all believe Chandler would agree to a S&T with Minny if Dallas is offering the same deal?
Ok. Thanks, but its still about as clear as mud. So what does that mean regarding Parsons in a S&T to Minnesota? They can S&T him, they just can't just straight up trade him (of course)? I read that pretty much the other way around.
Because we let Parsons into RFA a year early and relationships matter. Fegan is out for the best interest of not only Chandler but also his biggest client Dwight. I know he loves Cuban but the truth is, CP25 would be matched instantly if Dallas offered him even the max.
[rQUOTEr]The Houston Rockets are stuck in neutral like almost everyone else waiting for clarity from free agents LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. But after offering free agent forward Chris Bosh a maximum-level contract, Rockets general manager Daryl Morey is exploring a number of scenarios in case Bosh declines and perhaps re-signs with the Miami Heat. Morey reached out Wednesday to the representatives for free agent small forward Luol Deng about joining the Rockets, a person with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the talks. Deng has attracted interest from the Atlanta Hawks, the Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Lakers and others but who is waiting for Anthony to decide his fate first. He could be a possible replacement for Rockets small forward Chandler Parsons if Houston decides not to match an offer on the restricted free agent. The Dallas Mavericks are very interested in Parsons, and rival executives expect them to eventually put forth a major offer sheet for Parsons. Utah Jazz restricted free agent Gordon Hayward just landed a four-year, $63 million maximum contract offer from the Charlotte Hornets, which helps set this inflated market for Parsons, a similar player. So it's not surprising that the Rockets are at least considering other options. A second person said the offer to Bosh was not given with a defined deadline. The person with knowledge of the negotiations spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because the talks were supposed to remain confidential. Houston would be ecstatic to have him join Dwight Howard, James Harden and the rest of the Rockets' lot that went 54-28 and lost to the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the playoffs. Houston plans on trading point guard Jeremy Lin in order to make room for a player like Bosh on its payroll but won't execute a trade until it receives a commitment from Bosh. Although only Bosh knows which way he's leaning, the Wednesday meeting between James, Heat President Pat Riley and James' agent, Rich Paul, will surely play a part in what happens next. The group is expected to meet at 3 p.m. PT in the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas, a person with knowledge of James' situation confirmed. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...l-deng-carmelo-anthony-lebron-james/12420323/[/rQUOTEr]
You mean what happens NOW? Yes, basically what you said. The Rockets made him a RFA on July 1st(before that he was under contract), so any trade has to be a S&T that Parsons himself consents to. That's all there is to it. Oh, and if he's traded, for salary matching purpose, his outgoing salary will only be 50% of what he actually makes. Meaning if he'll make 12mil, then he'll count as 6 mil when it comes to matching salary in trades. Another rule to prevent teams from just re-signing players to arbitrary amount just to salary match(Dallas did this a few years ago).
I just don't see how it's a better situation for him in Minnesota if $ is the same. Relationships don't matter if it's an organization he doesn't want to be a part of. What good does it do to help his boys if he's not going to be there to see it through? From Dallas' perspective, it's a gamble we need to take to see if Les is willing to reach into his pockets.
Fegan's relationships not Parsons. Also Ricky Rubio/Zach Levine/ Parsons/Jones /Dieng (trading Pek for something of value) is a nice young core that could really be a threat. I think it's ridiculous to argue because I think Parsons is back and I also think Love goes to Cleveland.
He wouldn't. There would have to be something wrong with him in the head in order for him to chose Minny over Dallas. If he chooses Minny over Dallas it would have to be for much, much more dollars & that doesn't seem to be the case since its rumored that Dallas is going all in on Parsons. However the S&T rules are a bit iffy right now. Not 100% sure if he'd have to agree to a S&T with Minny in a Love deal. A better capologist needs to clarify that with us (Edit: looks like he would have to consent) -Cuban has ties to Fegen (Parsons agent) -No state income tax in Texas (more $) -Parsons is buds with Dirk -Dallas is competitive -Dallas is closer to home -Bigger market -etc. etc.
I've been thinking that a max contract offer from the T-Puppies might be enough to lure Chandler there in a sign and trade for Love, but with the Hayward signing, why would he?
No panic yet. Let's see what LBJ is gonna say. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Communication flowing between Chris Bosh camp and Rockets today, preparing for landing spot should LeBron James leave, sources tell Yahoo.</p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/statuses/486958217834934273">July 9, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
