So either Bosh/Parsons or Love/Deng? (Sign Deng then S&T Parsons for Love). I like the second one of Love signs an extension but we also lose more pieces like Jones, DMo and that pelican pick by doing option 2.
Except cyberx posted this thread about 10 minutes before Amick posted the same information on Twitter.
I don't care how much people hate him, losing Lin and asik just for Deng is a step backward Did anyone see how Deng played for Cleveland, it was terrible Edit 8 million each for him and Gasol is good, but if we are giving 12 to 14 million just for Deng GTFO
Key word = they reached out to Deng camp AGAIN according to the Sam Amick tweet. It's just a re-try at how Deng feels about joining us, nothing major..
so, why would Morey leak that he's reaching out to Deng? What does he gain from that? Signal to Bosh that he's not going to be super patient?
I agree. Sounds to me Morey is preparing to replace Chandler if he gets a big contract offer and I'm fine with that. Deng would fit in very nicely in his place if that's the case.
This, not sure if he just didn't give a f*** because of the Cleveland situation or if he really regressed this hard. Cleveland Deng wouldn't be a great help for this team.
Cyberx strikes again, wow. Deng would be a decent pickup if we strike out on everyone, but he won't be much of an upgrade if we lose Parsons. And he's too good to be a backup.
Chandler has to agree to a S&T to Minnesota in a Love deal. If Morey deals for Love, its most likely Jones, D-Mo, whomever else being sold as the replacement players along with the draft assets. Maybe they get him in a 3-way deal that gets them a player in return better than Jones, but I dont see Parsons accepting a trade to Minnesota when he has better options in free agency at the same price. More than likely Chandler will prefer signing in Dallas in free agency vs. Minnesota in a S&T. He's going to get nearly the same amount of money either way. The Rockets going after Deng tells you about as much as the Rockets going after Melo... just a much less talented (albeit much cheaper) version of each other. The Rockets obviously think they can get away with playing 2 over-sized SF's as interchangeable PF's. Them going after other SF's is nothing new. Not sure why them going after Deng now would make Rockets fans think anything different.
