Honestly, it would be a trip if James does leave Miami and that's followed by Riles leaving and replacing Kupchak in LA. Sort of closure on the whole "Lebron Thing" in Miami, and a clear indication that the Lakers are changing direction after the Dwight Debacle. The press would go nuts with James going "home," and Riley going back to where he spent the bulk of his career as a player, and where he had such success with the Lakers as GM. I would hate the entire melodrama, but few could say that it wouldn't be a hell of a story.
They would have to salvage something from the wreckage, and coming away with Wade, Bosh, McRoberts, and Granger (along with any other potential moves they might make) might cushion the fall a little. I know it's a stretch, but if Bosh really does love Miami, then for him, this might be enough to entice him to stay. That team would still make it to the playoffs in the East, and perhaps that's all Bosh needs?
There is nothing wrong with Bosh wanting to continue to play with the best player alive. Plenty of regular people take jobs because that job has the best doctor, lawyer, accountant, actor, etc. Its no different.
Living in Miami putting up with these "fans" is just sooooo unbearable, LeBron PLEASE END IT NOW! You have the power!!!
In every single one of those dynamics, it's a superior-subordinate relationship. This is not one of those relationships. Instances where colleagues follow each other, especially to *different cities and companies*, is not all that common.... hell, it's not even very common for the manager-managee relationship.
If Bosh is more concerned about lifestyle in Miami and not about really seeking out the best opportunity for him to win more championships or in this case make more money in Houston then... he is less manly then I originally thought lol.
You think every player that doesn't leave a team that isn't going to win a title is lacking in manhood?
Because when his contract with the Rockets expires in 4 years, he can just return to Miami at the still young age of 34 and live out the rest of his life there. Not to mention that the NBA season at most is around 9 months assuming you make it all the way to the Finals. So that still leaves him with a quarter of the year he can spend in South Florida in the meantime. I have no problem with a player taking less money to join or stay with a contending team. But if Bosh accepts a substantially lower sum than Houston's to remain with Miami despite LeBron leaving(which would render them a weak team even in the East) just because he enjoys the lifestyle there, it shows he's about everything but winning. I'd rather not have someone like that on the Rockets(especially at the cost of 88 mil).
Right because caring about what type of life you want for your wife and children and prioritizing that over your own career goals is not manly. NEWS FLASH. Athletes are real people!!
One thing that might make Bosh not want to stay in Miami is that with Wade being limited from now on he would probably have to be "The Man", something he doesn't like doing anymore. And when they lost he would get most of the grief. That won't happen here.
Lol Bosh might be the reason LeBron goes to Cleveland. Take the hint Bosh!!! They dont want you anymore
Plugging up the free agency pipeline like a metamucil pill is one thing, having Bosh dancing on a string is another.
Greg Maddux, Ken Griffey Jr, Craig Biggio, Jeff Bagwell, Barry Bonds are all baseball players that chose comfort over best shot to compete for titles at various points in their careers. JJ Watt is probably about to do the same by signing a huge deal with Houston instead of forcing his way out. Andre Johnson has done it multiple times by resigning in Houston instead of leaving though he may try now. Hakeem was happy to stay in Houston despite not being likely to win again as long as he got an extension and playing time. All girly men.
dafuq? Bosh/Birdman McBob/Haslem Ariza or Deng(FA signing to replace LeBron)/Granger Wade Chalmers/Napier I would take Cleveland(with LeBron), Chicago(with Melo or semi-healthy Rose), Toronto, Washington, and possibly Nets above that roster. This is extra true for Bosh because he has remade his game so that he's no longer the 1st option. Or even the 2nd option. He's the guy who plays defense and shoots jumpers. He's spoken publically about how last year was a grind when he had to take on heavier role with Wade being treated like he's Tim Duncan. Bosh is a terrible basketball fit for Miami if LeBron leaves.

Joking lol but not surprised you didn't include the part that it's speculated he would even stay for less money even without Lebron staying in Miami because that's how bad he just wants to stay. If the love of Miami from Bosh is that ridiculous I'd rather see the rockets put more effort into looking elsewhere.
