Well we were at least in the talks of it like the other teams. Now reports don't even throw the rockets name in there.

    *le sigh

I'm wondering if your sources got a little carried away by how well the meeting went with Melo....oh, he was so down with what he heard from our players, from Morey; oh, he just wants to win....?

I mean, haven't we all been to an interview where we left, thinking, The job is mine, it went real well....and a day goes by, you hear nothing...two days, three days...Hmn, maybe they weren't that into me after all.

Melo went from here ("wow, a chance to win! this'll be great!") to Dallas (a non-starter) to Los Angeles ("Hollywood! La La's career! Already have a house here! Business opportunities! MAX MONEY!") and back to the Knicks ("okay, okay, we hear you, here you go, MO MONEY, MO MONEY, MO MONEY, and we'll even find two or three sucker teams to take our s*** contracts, even though we can only entice them with second- and third-rate players because we have no first round picks until 2056, and we'll get LeBron here too!")

Shoot, he probably barely remembers even coming to Houston by now.

All about winning? Seems like everyone's pinning their hopes on LeBron. If I have LeBron, I'll win.

Otherwise? SHOW ME THE MONEY. And in Melo's case: SHOW ME THE GLAMOUR, TOO!

Before free gamely started, I was hoping Melo to Houston would happen but now, I really don't care where Melo goes. Tbh, I rather have Bosh.

Melo wants to win, but he wants all the other perks of a major market, just as much. If it was only about winning, he would be here like Dwight did.

If it was about winning, he would have never been a Knick in the first place.

Durant trying to keep a guy he'd have to guard 4 times in the east. Smart guy.

My guess with Melo's thought process is this.

Damn, it would be nice to win in Houston.

But... it would be nicer to win in Chicago... but they're not paying me and wtf is with Rose?

But... it would be even NICER to win in NY... but damn that team sucks ass. Maybe I can get LeBron to come

But... just in case Phil Jackson can't turn NY into a viable contender, let me see I can get win in LA.

5 days later... PLEEAASSEEEE LeBron, Please join me or otherwise I'd have to either piss off my wife or spend the rest of my career on a losing team.

This thread needs to die. Carmelo is married to LaLa and will never be allowed to move to Houston. Bosh might not either. Lebron is also a no way ever.

It looks like Knicks and Lakers are the only teams offered Anthony Max. Mavs did not, nor Morey?!

Carmello is waiting on Bosh is waiting on Lebron James is waiting on Bosh.

If James really doesn't want Bosh to return to Miami, he has to tell him. Otherwise this free agent period will last into October.

Doesn't that depend on what we accomplish between now and then roster wise?

With all the latest rumors we are hearing I get the sense that these elite FA will go back to their original teams. I have no evidence for this but I just don't see Lebron leaving which results in Bosh staying as well. Melo I think is toying with the idea of the Lakers but considering he'd then be playing in the west he probably has a much better chance in the East.

Rockets have the ideal squad for guys like LeBron bosh and melo yet because we aren't the glamour city we will once again be rejected.
