Every now and again I like to check out these limited advertising movies hoping to find another "Equilibrium" type flick.

I saw this movie Snowpiercer and thought it was pretty damn good.

Its a post-apoc movie where everyone left alive is on a huge train. The movie centers on Chris Evans who is in the poor section of the train, as he organizes a revolution.

    Anybody see this?

Yeah, I saw it at the drafthouse. It's pretty much an action film, as the movie heads towards the front section of the train, the movie turns incredibly dark and brutal, I didn't expect this at all.

Saw it last Sunday. It was an interesting story, with a ton of underlying social commentary and allegory.

I thought just seeing the different parts of the train were the coolest part. Very dark movie though, so be warned.

Been wanting to see it and was bummed it was only in limited release when it first came out. Hopefully I'll get a chance in the coming weeks to check it out cause it looks really good.

Good movie. I liked the ending even though it was kind of predictable if...

you're a fan of sci-fi movies like the Matrix or Total Recall, i.e. everything was planned from the beginning. I figured it was like those movies when he was getting those metal pills with those words in them.

Not that I support illegal viewing, but the movie has been out online in good quality for a few months now if you want to check it out.

The film is hodgepodge of the Wizard of Oz, the Masque of Red Death, Game of Death, 12 Monkeys, and Soylent Green (it is not people) that is, if you took the worst bits from each film/story.

The only thing good that I can say about it is that the director has directed some terrific stuff in the past, especially Mother. Or even the Host.

Count me in as someone who didn't like the movie.

It's a weird social commentary, but I just did not like the style of action or the directing.

Saw it on Monday -- I thought it was the best movie I had seen in theaters since at least the Lego Movie.

I thought it had some really good actions scenes, great directing and acting, very interesting and nuanced story, and was overall entertaining but certainly not mindless.

This is now available on my cable OnDemand and want to watch this weekend. The other thread makes me hesitate about a US version that is not as good but IMDB just shows one version.
