I'm sure he'll be able to shed some light on this in this thread once he's done :)

If I had to guess I'd say he's going into corporate communications in a role that will probably pay him double what he was making and about half the workload. Covering pro sports consumes you.

Going to miss Jason. Top reads and podcasts. I thought he was quiet too, but figured he didn't want to get Rockets fined like last year.

Now he can come by to post here at ClutchFans again.

    Good luck Jason!

Does it sound like he might join the 76ers? But then Daryl probably wouldn't write that he is overqualified writing about sports?

I always enjoyed fritz145's work with the Rockets. Seems like a genuinely nice guy, and a really, really talented writer.

Hopefully, the career move he is making takes him to even greener pastures. And hopefully, he will stop by at Clutchfans once in a while, now that his job won't be a hurdle for that anymore.

All the best to him and his family.

I would read Jason's every article despite watching the games.

His use of language, the articulate and eloquent nature of his articles was poetic bliss.

    Thank you Jason!

Definitely the top team website writer in the game. Enjoyed his podcasts. I'll miss him. All the best in your future paths Jason.

Here's a snippet of his article of his time as a judge for the Rockets Power Dancer Audition from 2012.

What secrecy? I'm sure he'll share what he's up soon enough.

Forget it. He did not strike me as someone who talks vaguely.

The articles he wrote were pretty accurate and on point

His friends, colleagues were asking him where he is going and he wasn't replying.

He could have said he needed a break. Or he has been applying for a new job.

After all those years of mediocrity and first round exits, you would want to have one of your best writers to experience Real time Contention.

This is a shock to some of us because he has been with us as long as Morey.

In before the alledged insider / poster with 1 post in 10 years claims he has the inside scoop regarding where Friedman lands.

Some of his writing struck me as someone who had more literary aspirations. Perhaps he made a change in direction.
