    I've not heard a peep regarding Bosh's willingness to return to Miami sans Lebron. If anything, you'd think Miami would just wipe the slate clean and try to start over (unless they could land Melo). A Bosh led Heat with a gimpy Wade... is that an ECF team? I dunno.

    Why do people keep say this? Yes Bosh wants to play with LeBron, yes Bosh wants stay in Miami, but Bosh also wants to get paid. People are making it seem like Bosh is some little lost puppy dog following LeBron around. Bosh is a very very bright fellow. I know people that have meet him and know him personally. Bosh, just like 99% of the other athletes in the world are business people first and athletes seconds. Why is that hard for some of you guys to understand, it's not all about sports? Again this is Bosh's last opportunity to get a max contract period. Chris is looking at life after basketball and leaving a legacy to his kids. And don't think for one moment that Bosh is not going to do what is best for him and his family first. I think many of you guys are looking at this to linearly or you guys are not married with kids so you are not able to see the big picture. Yes Bosh loves his boys LeBron/Wade, and loves the city of Miami, but in the end his wife, kids, and livelihood will come first.

    But see that's because Houston is not a 1st option.... Neither Bosh or Melo want Houston. They want it all... The money, the glamour, the bright lights and the big market..... This is why I love Howard and Harden..... Both of those players are younger and more valuable than Bosh or Melo... We have our stars, if any of those other two end up here its because "oh well, guess I'm going to Houston" Houston right now is the girl that you text once in a while just in case the girl you really like does not work out.......... They can wait all they want for all I care I just hope Morey has a timeframe of when to move on in order to still better the team at the pg position.....

    Bosh sure did pick a great time to go on vacation. Has the whole summer, and he picks to go right when free agency kicks off. Morey should show how bad he really wants him by flying to Sri Lanka, renting an elephant, and riding out to whatever jungle he's in, and then give him his customary iPad. Get it done Morey

    100% agree. He doesn't have the picks or players to unload those 2 HUGE baggage players. And even if he sold the Knicks soul to do it, he wouldn't have the players left to compete.

    If Lebron is leaving Miami, a nice place to live with a perennial ECF team, he's only going to move IF he's guaranteed to get a boatload of rings or to move back home where his family is happy. NYC provides neither.

    So you are telling me that Bosh at this moment wouldn't be leaving his wife and kids with a legacy? You are right, he needs to make sure that his family have a roof over their heads and food on the table..... We are so stupid to never consider that.... If Bosh does not get a max contract should we start a donation site so we can help this family in need out? The goal could be 86 millions dollars... I mean that's how much they are gonna need to stay on their feet......

    People say it because bosh is quoted as saying it. If Lebron goes back to heat, so will bosh, even if he takes a pay cut. We don't have perfect information, maybe winning in Miami with Lebron is worth more than the few million a year he gives up. Also, you talk about him leaving a legacy for his kids...dude has made a lot already. It is quite plausible that the extra few million is an amount he is willing to sacrifice for happiness in the city and team he enjoys playing for. Not like his family will live differently in any practical sense.

    If I made 50,000 a year and you said you'd double it, that means more to me than if you said to someone who made 5 million a year you'd double it. Not that they wouldn't care, but other factors aside from money could take greater precedence. I guess people who don't make a lot of money or see the big picture just don't understand that :rolleyes:

    And to say athletes are business first lol! They are some of the worst people with money. I know some professional athletes and how they spend, but heck, you don't have to know any irl. just look at how the vast majority squander their earnings after retiring from professional sports. Business first? They have never learned proper money management earlier in life, are given a ton of cash and then are surrounded by people incentivized by having the athlete NOT be a wise spender of money. Recipe for disaster, which ends up being the case more often than not. Some are very good at building their brand, like Lebron and Jordan have done for themselves, but they are exceptions to the rule. Not saying bosh isn't an exception too...I just find your bright line rule for athletes laughable.

    Not saying that Bosh needs to accept our max offer. I never stated that are insinuated. What I am saying only is don't think that Bosh's main concern is only to play with LeBron. His family will come first and basketball second, it's that simple.

    What other options do the Rockets have?

    What other "game changers" are there out there?

    The Rockets tried for James and failed;

    The Rockets tried for Anthony and failed;

    The Rockets tried for Lowry and failed.

    What great option is out there that is worth going after?

    Lance Stephenson? A SG/SF..... Trevor Ariza?.... PASS

    You make a good point. It reminded me of an interview I saw of Samuel L. Jackson a while back. They told him he had made X amount of money over his career and the first thing he said was "I wish I had all that money." I have no idea how Bosh spends his money but he might need that money to survive with his current lifestyle. He might blow his money like crazy and could be in India making it rain right now. Bosh has no endorsements post his career and will only see that money playing basketball. Who has made more money over their career, bosh or Allen Iverson? You know who's broke right now? Not Bosh.

    No one said otherwise. What you did insinuate was that taking a pay cut to play with Lebron was somehow indicative of him not putting his family first.

    If all you are saying is that his family is more important than playing with lebron in a general sense, uh, of course! Who said otherwise?

    Isnt that one of the mistakes cleveland made 2010? Not needing to pull out all the stops in a recruiting effort?

    It is all speculation though. Who knows what James has said privately to Bosh.

    Don't get me wrong, Bosh will solve a lot of the Rockets issues... and even at the max, the Rockets would be lucky to have him, I am just not ready to say James wants him kicked to the curb.
