May have already been posted, but Nike is unveiling Lebron's new marketing campaign, called "Unfinished Business"

Maybe Nike bought the billboards so Lebron and his people can't buy them and plaster "I leaving my talents in South Beach" across Cleveland when he decides to stay in Miami.

Either that or Nike will put up "The Return of the King" on all of them.

A plugged-in source tells me there is a 90 percent chance that LeBron James will return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and it will be announced on www.lebronjames.com if it happens.

That is my latest intelligence, and it comes from the same league source who told me Monday that he felt there was a 75 percent chance James returns to his original NBA team.

Remember this, folks: This comes down to LeBron building a legacy, which leads us to three points:

_There is nothing left for him to accomplish in Miami. He went there for four years, he went to the NBA Finals all four years, and he won two titles while learning what it takes to be a champion. Nobody can ever take that away from him.
_ A chance to return home as a successful, seasoned adult with a chance to deliver the city of Cleveland its first championship in any sport since 1964 is too much of a legacy opportunity for James to pass up.
_ And another thing: The best player he has a chance to team up with is named Kyrie Irving.

I wonder how much time ESPN is NOT going to dedicate to covering Cleveland, Manziel and LeBron if he goes back.

I don't know if Lebron or his reps are PR idiots. Such idiocy.

No wonder he is seen as a villain. It's all on him and his team.

    Lol

Went on TV for the Decision after his Indecision. And now trying to force Riley and use Cleveland as leverage?

He has been toying with Cleveland, the whole nation and now Miami. ;)

Exactly, neither him nor his PR team has said a damn thing.

You've gotta feel for the guy. All this build-up about a return to Cleveland has created the possibility of substantial unwarranted backlash, if he stays in Miami. His brand will forever be tarnished and he will become the villain...again.

    Ridiculously unfair

Did I happen to mention all this shet: Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6?

Could not even beat the Spurs regularly and the Mavs!

The Cleveland-Return-Redemption fan fiction was invented by lazy sportswriters and stoked by message boards and blogs for years. Add in the stupidity of the Twitter Sourcesocracy that now controls the off season and there's literally no way to avert the frenzy.

What he's actually doing is two things - seeking a contract that is at least closer to, but in no way approaches his worth, and trying to figure out where he can do this with the best chance to win basketball games as well. And he's doing this privately over what, a week now?

Since its Lebron, of course, he's damned if he does and if he doesn't so either his action or inaction will be vilified regardless.

So you tell me his Decision on TV wasn't his Decision?

I have not talked to you so I do not know for sure if you are just a Bron homer or not.

I mean he is the best player on the planet, and I am sure he has means to lessen the drama other than helping it increase.

If it were as you said indeed today's reality.

It's hard for me to believe that he would leave the comforts of a ready-made team in Miami to go back to Cleveland to suffer through a re-build (albeit one that is already well under way). That said, while I originally dismissed the whole idea as an invented story due to no information coming out, I am starting to think it could happen.

As LeBron looks at that Heat team, he has to realize that there is almost no chance to get to Jordan's magic number of 6 there, and odds are against even getting to Kobe's 5. At least in Cleveland they do have up-and-coming players who will be improving over the years and eventually carry the load for him down the road. So, it's not like Cleveland will be an automatic loser in the future. Plus, he gets to create a lot of goodwill for his legacy, and if he never wins another championship many people will say that he could have if he hadn't gone back to Cleveland.

I still say it's not likely, but I am starting to see some reasoning behind it. That's probably due to the fact that this whole thing is taking so long and I have time to ponder such things. At least today is the last day of imposed inactivity.

Lol you can't be naive to think that LeBron isn't pulling some strings on the media and think that any PR must come directly from his PR team.

I am believing nothing. I just find it moronic. If he does or if he does not, he stays the villain the same way.

Either way, if he goes to Cleveland, stays in Miami, goes to the Rox or third team, he will always be branded the 'guy who made that Decision on TV' and the guy that cannot be Jordan.
