If Chandler is loyal to the Rockets he won't sign any offer sheets from any other team

He might delay it by a day or so, but the team doesn't mind him signing an offer sheet because they always planned on matching it.

This is Parsons' first biggest payday though and everybody knows that. If he has earned big bucks already, he might sign for less but he's young, and in the past underpaid. Parson knows it and his agent knows it that's why I feel (just my opinion btw) he'll sign for max or near-max should someone offer it to him.

"Loyalty" seems not a strong point of Daryl himself nor of the Rockets management in general. Everything is just business. Right or I've read wrong?

He is being overpaid if he gets the max. I would prefer him at less, but I would still match in a heartbeat.

What I don't understand are you people that are saying OK at 11 but let him walk at 14. Do you honestly think we are going to find a better player than Parsons with the MLE (if we even have the MLE).

It's pretty simple to me Rockets w/Parson will be better than any team we can field without him, regardless of his salary.

There are different mechanics in place, Parsons seems to have been told he's going to get paid, Utah told Hayward, no we won't pay you that much.

It's all about the $$$. Being paid and being paid more is a lot different for some people. I wouldn't bet on it if I were you.

It's going to be Bosh or Parsons, not both. Even with Parsons bird rights we aren't going 12 million over cap or whatever that would probably take.

How dare you say another team's player is better than a ROX player except Lin?

BTW interesting thread though, but homers will rate this a 1 STAR thread.

This was expected, you only need one crazy desperated team for this to happen.

Good news for Houston is that other than Charlotte, it seems like no other team will offer that amount to Parsons. Dallas has interest, and LA, but won't overpay like that since are properly managed franchises.

Bad news is that Utah is said to match Hornets offer, and then they can go for Parsons.

Has Morey missed at making Parsons free agent this year?
If Hayward were an UNrestricted FA, would have he recieved that max offer?
