Not the first time I've seen something like that...usually, a player is just retweeting as way of saying he likes the support, in this case, he likes that someone thinks he deserves the max.

It's like tweeting Bev he's the best player in the league, he'd probably retweet that.

I always read that Waiters was a terrible pick and he's not very good. I've hardly ever watched him play, but he's shown potential the times I have. What exactly are the knocks on him?

Dion Waiters wasn't an especially good college player and is proving to not be an especially good NBA player. Another wonderful decision made by Dan Gilbert and company.

in a couple of words: Mike Brown.

He really stunted not just his but the entire team's growth last year.

Boeheim isn't one known to sugarcoat his opinion in interviews and he said offensively -- getting to the basket-- ability to just score...that he's only matched by Westbrook. Assuming he's comparing to just guards his size.

Defensively - Something along the lines of him being capable of being a great one v one defender but since they ran a zone at Syracuse he'd coast.

interview is out there somewhere. Pretty short.

I actually like Waiters as a starter. He tries to do too much a lot of the time and it's not exactly his fault. He has to become the second option with starters like Tristan Thompson and Cody Zeller. He's probably worth mle to 8m on the inflated market right now.

He was on my fantasy team. He was balling near the end of last season. Might have been just because of injuries to others, but he can play.

More troubling than Dion's retweet is the fact that there's actually a moron out there who thinks Waiters deserves the max.....

Like Gerald Green or J.R. Smith, he'll wow at times with how he makes the incredibly difficult look so easy, but I don't think he has that razor-sharp focus/commitment needed to taste greatness.
