Free agents can only verbally agree to contracts before July 10th. This is the first day they are permitted to actually sign on the dotted line.
Why the hell would Lebron want to go back to Cleveland without Kyrie or the only other trade asset that team has?
Teams are also forbidden from talking about signees during this time period. Riley speaking out on Granger and McBob says a lot about his mindset. He is nervous and rightfully so.
The other part of the "insider's" scoop was Melo signs there as well. That same insider scooped the Jason Kidd story
if I were Cleveland and trying to win, I would trade Kyrie for Love, and then sign Melo. Lebron/Love/Melo/Wiggins?, thats a pretty good team. Much better than Lebron/Kyrie/Wiggins
No that insider said LeBron and Melo to the Knicks not the Cavs. http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1333294&start=560 His handle name is Carl2680
LeBron wants to go back to Cleveland because it's home. He already went to 4 straight finals and won two rings. Sure he wants to win more but he wants to be home and he wants to bring glory to the city of Cleveland where he will retire, raise his kids, be a huge part of the community and then die and be buried there. When jerseys were burned in 2010, tears will be flowing with Joy in 2014. And if he brings a title to the Cavs, this will be the greatest story in the history of sports.
I'm pretty sure they can't get Lebron and Melo. And why would they trade Kyrie for Love? If anything, they'll trade Wiggins + filler expiring contract (Bennett) for him to get a Irving/LBJ/Love big three.
Brian "World Wide" Windhorst today: http://cdn16.castfire.com/audio/303...e7a3234076221&referer=http://espn.go.com/nba/ He thinks Lebron may end up signing a one year deal to return to Miami then looking at what happens next season because there doesn't seem to be any really great options on the table. Windhorst is pretty plugged in with "Lebron World," so this is kind of interesting. Windhorst also wonders what Bosh does in this case-- specifically, does he committ to return for 5 years even though Lebron might leave after 1? I wonder about the same thing. I also wonder whether Bosh would prefer returning to Miami on a one year deal (2nd yr player option) or taking the security of a 4 year offer (final year player option) in Houston.
Being that Kyrie just resigned with the Cavs isn't there something that does not allow him to be traded for a certain period of time?
I still cant believe that Bosh was offered a max contract...and he says thanks but no thanks....Bosh is really an idiot...If I were Rockets management...deal expires at 12:00AM july 10th...
Wiggins has yet to play one single minute of NBA ball and you want to get rid of Kyrie for a potential talent... As other have stated, this is not some PS4 or XBox game.... Jeezzzzz T_Man
