As most of CF knows I am not a Howard fan at all. IF we can sign Bosh we will have the twin towers. Bosh would take so much of the load off of Howard; helping him last through out his contract (hopefully at a high level). What a solid signing to protect what we already have. Bosh in a small line up playing the 5 would be fantastic.
Not sure if Clutch or the mods see this, but is there a potential Rocket profile for Chris Bosh? I want to see Clutch's analysis of acquiring Bosh.
I would agree with this IF LeBron goes to any other city that is not named Cleveland. If he goes back to Cleveland now at the age of 29 and in his prime, with the roster that have in Cleveland now (Kevin Love deal is reportedly on the table if LeBron goes to the Cavs) he would be applauded by many. It would definitely be a risky move for him but it is one that would not hurt his reputation at all, it would enhance it.
This photo is from ESPN on the front page of their NBA section. This photo pretty much sums everything up right now. http://espn.go.com/nba/
I think you misunderstand, I was agreeing with you. LeBron going to any city but Cleveland (including Miami) would harm his reputation. It's such a crazy story. "Return of the King" branding writes itself. Hometown hero comes back to win the first sports championship in decades. And he would be playing next to three other first round picks. As he ages those guys would be developing and entering their prime, keeping them in contention for years to come even as Lebron ages. It's too perfect.
Don't make this mistake. Just because James leaves Miami does not mean Bosh comes to Houston. The minute that James signs elsewhere, you will see teams like the Lakers and others make a strong effort to sign Bosh. Do not discount the idea of Bosh accepting the max from LA. Bosh gets to live an LA lifestyle and fool himself that the Lakers won't be hot garbage for the next 5 years.
