So, it seems that Stephen A Smith mentions in the first take video that Miami is still asking Bosh to take a substantial discount-- even lower than the "$80-90M over 5 years" that Bosh already offers to accept-- even though they are going with MLE/BAE signings that don't requires them to clear cap room? Seems insulting to Bosh. The guy definitely does max-level work even without getting too many touches. He is doing a lot of the important dirty work in terms of interior and pick and roll defense while shooting at a high efficiency all over the floor.
I don't understand what that has to do with disrespect from Miami. He opted out of a 2 year max deal with Miami. By all accounts he's told the Rockets if Lebron stays in Miami he is re-signing there. Where has he been disrespected?
He is getting low balled. He was willing to take a haircut but maybe what Miami was offering was more than he anticipated.
I think one important decision BOSH will have to make is... If Lebron stays in Miami with a contract that allows him to OPT-OUT after 1 year (to survey the free agent landscape again). What does BOSH do now? Take the 5 year lesser offer from Miami with potentially being on a LBJ-less team? OR cut bait now and take the 4 year offer with HOUSTON where you know your core is in place?
We don't know that is actually true. If he was really being lowballed, why would he have told Morey that he is only interested in Houston if Miami doesn't work out with Lebron? Woj said he told the Rockets he intends to stay in Miami with Lebron. That doesn't sound like a guy who feels disrespected.
Huh? Bosh is still one of the best 4-5 PF's in the NBA... his advanced stats put him in the top 3..... You are telling me that you think the Rockets lose to Portland with Bosh on Aldridge? No way..

I'm not clear on this, but I don't think the new CBA would allow a contract with an ETO after year 1 of the contract for Lebron.
What if..... Just what if Bosh knows that they are trying to force him out and he's waiting to sabotage them first. What if he's waiting for Carmelo to make a decision and then he decides to bolt for Houston.... Hmmmmmmmmmmmm T_Man
He's basically asked to be their Omer Asik on defense, Ryan Anderson on offense, and Tito Jackson on the album cover. Anyone who thinks this guy isn't worth the max for Miami doesn't really know basketball. Even if they sign Melo instead of Bosh, who is going to be relied upon to do half of what he does? Which is why ultimately I think they work out a deal and he's back with Miami unfortunately. They aren't that stupid.
Bosh has done nothing wrong. He has been very stringht forward with the Rockets and did not require a magical mystery tour like Carmelo. The Rockets will be extremely lucky if they are able to add Chris Bosh.
