No. You can return to your nap, DD. I'll wake you up yelling in my front yard if we get someone good. :)-

You wanna know what would be desperate? Losing out on all our targets, losing Parsons and ending up with P.J Tucker and Andray Blatche. Bosh is a two time champ who wants to ride LeBron's nuts to more rings. While his loyalty can be perceived as awkward infatuation his talent and fit are unquestionable. He's the third best pf in the entire league and getting him automatically puts us in the wcf and ain't nothing desperate about that. He needs to nut up and sign his contract so he can get down here and get to work...P.J Tucker would actually be a nice addition but you get my point

You guys knocking Bosh for waiting on Lebron are ridiculous.

Pippen would have waited on Jordan.

Surprise surprise, a good player doesn't want to decide whether he will leave his team until he knows whether the best player in the world is staying or going.

I agree, but you shouldn't have mentioned Pippen. Bad form!

At the very least LeBron should inform Riley here of his intentions to stay or go. This will give us a layer of clarity on the Bosh situation. I cannot wait for this to be over, I have a lot of studying I should be doing.

He asked what Houston would do if we missed out on Bosh, Love, Rondo. I never said those guys were better options than Bosh lol. :) I think Bosh fits this team like a glove, and although we are over paying for his services I am OK with that if we can make it to the Finals (hopefully we can win it all). I just don't think people should panic IF we don't attain Chris Bosh. Morey has Houston in the drivers seat, even if we keep Lin and trade him at the deadline. We will upgrade this roster someway somehow.

Agreed. Thats just like playing COD with an awesome team and the worlds best player on your team. and just leaving to another team that's good on paper, but not proven yet before you even know if your best player is leaving.

Take him to a crowded restaurant so he won't make a scene Lebron.

You think this is easy for me Riley? Jesus Riley can you think of someone other than yourself for one minute! You sent out a memo!

Non except Smith play defense, IMO we should be going hard after Smith or Young if we can't get upgrade at the 4 in free agency.

Defense at the 4 spot needs to be addressed, I'm mentally scarred for life from what Aldridge did to us in the playoffs, I never want to relive that nightmare again. We need someone who play D in the post AND on the perimeter, Smith and to a lesser extent Young fit this criteria and are very attainable players.

Does anybody else have any suggestions of attainable players that can play both perimeter defense and post defense besides Young and Smith, that are actually attainable?

James and Anthony are working in cahoots with one another and can afford to wait it out all summer. It's clear that they want to play together.

Bosh can also afford to wait it out. Thats why he is on vacation as we speak.

The problem with that is can Parsons and Daniels and any other FA we want afford to wait it out?

    I think not.
So why risk losing Parsons and Daniels because of some pissing contest between Bosh/James/Anthony?

As Riley starts having a fit and LeBron begins to erupt into euphoria, the waitress at the other end of the restaurant remarks: "I'll have what he's having."

Josh Smith can hit perimeter shots the same way Rajon Rondo can.

Just because someone takes shots from the perimeter doesn't mean they can make them.

LOL - early rounds of the East playoffs are like the NCAA play-in game. They don't even get on NBATV.

Underrating Chris Bosh -- not watching MIA Heat games, which I do not blame you for.

Underrating Rockets -- not watching HOU games, which is more blameworthy!!

If you watched all the playoff games, you would have seen just how close they all were; just a ref's blown call here or there, just one stupid mistake, etc. would have changed the winner of the series. It's not that a much more superior team trounced us; it's that another team almost just as good happened to get a bit luckier and won. NOT even adding Bosh, another 7 game series, I say we win. That is not to say HOU doesn't have flaws; we have a ton...esp. on defense...but that's all the more reason to get Bosh over say Melo or Love (or nobody, now that Asik is gone...). We are a better team than POR imo, and our mistakes are what gave them that chance in a 7 game series, but even THEN, it was soooo close where a whistle here or there, a dumb mistake here or there, changed everything.

Having Bosh would DEFINITELY change the POR results, ESPECIALLY since we were torched by LMA. Bosh is a very good defender, esp. on the PnR's, but his length allows us to have him on LMA. We had no one able to really shut LMA down, though Asik did better later on in the series. Bosh is exactly what we needed and will continue to need. He plays so well in our system, it's silly. Is he worth max? No idea. Is he worth max to US? Definitely (esp. given our cap situation, will exceed for Parsons re-sign anyways).
