He was a huge advocate for Dwight to Houston last summer and he loves Chandler, I'm not surprised. I love Stephen A Smith, he's the only one that consistently gives the Rockets respect at espn

He asked who Chandler was in an insulting way and came off as a big idiot.

That's really not true. The media loved it. It was a constant story for them. In fact, they were a huge part in making it as big of a deal as it was.

He was hated on because he had become a scapegoat and people liked reading negative things about him.

To be fair, Chandler was fairly unknown at the time.

I've grown to like Stephen A.

Probably the most valuable thing out of that segment was "Don't confused Houston TX with Dallas TX. They aren't the same". Truth.

WAAAHH! SAS at one point during the Howard free agency was asking himself "Who is Parsons". He is not knowledgeable, he just sides with what is popular at the moment.

He doesn't "love" Chandler. He didn't even know who Chandler was a couple years ago. When they had him on the show, he asked Chandler why he took initiative recruiting Dwight even though he was just a role player. When the Rondo stuff was going on, he said we should include Parsons in that trade along with Asik and three picks.

He does give Parsons props, but that doesn't mean he likes him. Plus, I feel like some of that is just for him to make room to blast Lin ;)

And he has since then said he was completely wrong about parsons and that he can ball. SAS is one of the few at ESPN who actually admits when he got something wrong.

Sad Lowry didn't come back to HOU, but I feel like he's matured quite a bit. Found his place in TOR; wants to be known as a winner, but will do it his own hardnosed way. I respect that.

I basically agree with the basketball analysis. Nevermind the paycut part of the broadcast.

Fortunately or unfortunately, players only rarely move to a new team for basketball reasons alone.

SAS was saying that about Parsons pre-game in fall of '12 on 11/23 expecting the Knicks to handle the Rox that night [JLin's return] and then he dropped an amazing stat line:

Since then, he's eaten crow on Parsons and jocked his balls pretty hard

This whole Bosh situation reeks of desperation on the Rockets part. I like Bosh as a player but he is NOT a max player. I seriously doubt that Bosh is the difference for a team that got bounced in the first round.

He did but he ate his words and apologized like a man, every other time since he's called Chandler a stud

Do people not understand that we ARE desperate here? This is our only offseason with cap flexibility if we want to keep Parsons. We either sign people this offseason (preferably a perfect fit like Bosh), then re-sign Parsons and be capped next year OR we strike out, re-sign Parsons and be worse than last season and capped out for the near future.

Like it or not, he has a better chance of going to the second or third round in Toronto than in Houston.

It doesn't make any difference if the Rox pay him the Max. We go over the cap paying him and Chandler anyway. That's why Muri jumped all in with a max bid.

It's a power play with the consent of the owner, not desperation.

Miami has signed their FA's, it plays to their (Lebron if he is staying) advantage to stretch this until the 10th when the other teams have to commit to FA moves.
