Our ABSOLUTE worst case scenario would be losing Chandler Parsons and not getting a free agent.

Reminds me of the lyrics of what is now an old tune. Here's a bit of it:

It's all too much for me to take
The love that's shining all around you
Everywhere it's what you make for us to take
    It's all too much

    ..............

It's all too much for me to take
The love that's shining all around you
Everywhere it's what you make for us to take
    It's all too much

    It's too much
    It's too much

    - George Harrison

Clearly, Love is shining all around us, right there for us to take, but is it all too much? Is the price too high?

(beats the hell out of me - I've always been for Love)

But if Dwight does not want him gone then Morey is going to keep Parsons. Stars run the league, Morey has said he is the assistant GM now with Harden and Howard on board. Rondo could of been a Rocket last year but Howard and Harden didn't want to lose Parsons. So let me ask you guys this question, what has changed since then?

We get no one and either lose Parsons or have him for 10+ million and still be capped out. We use the exceptions to build some depth from the scraps that remain.

It's not sexy but I still think we would be a title contender. We were basically a 60 win team after new year's last year but just ran into bad officiating in the playoffs.

Maybe today but then again, maybe not.

Getting answers, let alone concrete answers, is like pulling teeth.

When will LeBron meet with Miami? Who knows!
When will LeBron make a decision? Who knows!
When will Carmelo make a decision? Who knows!
Which way are these guys leaning? Who knows!

    Another day of [IMG]

    And then

We strike out on everyone, end up overpaying a mediocre role player, Chandler signs a max offer and we're hard capped. Possibly losing Troy Daniels in the process. In this scenario we probably keep Lin too.

I don't think it's that simple just because I think Lebron is smarter than that. Sure, everyone else's goal is to play with Lebron bc he is the best player in the world (which is why Melo is at a standstill). But, I bet Lebron is smart enough to know that Melo over bosh is actually a downgrade in their situation because bosh is actually a 5 for them, not a 4. You can stretch Melo into a 4 but in no fantasy land does he play the 5 like bosh. If it was that simple and Lebron wasn't as smart as I think he is, then yea, Melo would have signed already.

With that said, Riley does need a new master plan. He struck out on Lowry and Gortat. It seems Gasol too, although not officially, but Gasol should not play for the min ANYWHERE. So I wouldn't doubt that Riley is gonna go into the meeting pitching Melo as the new master plan to Lebron and the heat...far fetched and even Riley would probably admit it, but you gotta try anything and everything to keep Lebron.

Rockets strike out on all big free agents. Rockets re-sign Parsons and can't use his bird rights and have to use cap space.

Now they have very little cap space left and no Asik and no Lin. Team is worse than last year without much cap space meaning they have no room to get a big-time free agent next year.

If the Rockets can sign Bosh, they are a allowed to go over the cap to re-sign Parsons. But like I said, if they strike out on Bosh and all other big-time free agents, they are screwed.

Being the anniversary of the Decision would be cool if LJ announced and returned today

Parsons is not leaving, even in K Love trade. Worse case starting roster is Bev/Harden/Parsons/Anderson/Howard

We lose Parsons to Dallas and end up with Kevin Hate (Kevin Love's brother who works at Geico)

And here I thought Lebron couldn't screw up his own free agency any worse than he did with The Decision. Now he's holding up the whole league and taking his sweet-ass time doing it. Pathetic.

All the free agents reject the Rockets

Parsons signs the absolute max offer with Dallas. Morey does not match.

Worst case? We add no major FA and KEEP Parsons. We will be strapped for the long haul with trading a major piece for another major piece being pretty much our only option for the next few years. I would rather strikeout and lose parsons and fill his void with 2 year team option for year 2 type of players.

    Stephen A.:

Bosh should leave for Houston. No one is going to say LeBron or Miami want him to leave. Do you want to give him that money? Chances are they do not. Bosh fits into their plans if he's willing to capitulate to what they want do. Bosh is a good player, not a superstar but in the end, is he worth $88 million? I'm sorry the answer is no. It's something been touched on by others but not at the forefront. I'm gonna put it out there: in a perfect world, Carmelo and LeBron want to play together. That has always been the preference. Carmelo before Bosh. There will not be a big four.

In Houston, while still a 3rd option, he's more like a 2 or 2A option. He's your stretch four. He'll hit perimeter shots. He'll make it hard to double down on Dwight. It's easy. If you're thinking about your future, you're only staying in Miami because you and your wife are comfortable. Basketball wise, no reason to stay in Miami.

Bosh isn't a splash. He's a perfect fit for Houston. Do I think he's worth $22 million? Only 4-5 players are worth that in my opinion. That's not Chris Bosh. He's not box office but he is a perfect fit for Houston.

How slimy is it that we're begging raptor man to come to Houston. Ugh, awkward.

I'd much rather be paying Love that money.
