Phil Jackson can be really naive about the real world sometimes

I never once heard of Hakeem or Yao Ming getting mobbed in Houston. But whenever Yao stepped into LAX it was mayhem

Big, small towns in the South like Houston don't do papparzi hunts for celebs and don't have massive amts of tourist.

We are chill and don't mob the athletes. That's why many, many NBA players live here in the summer

Well we drive EVERYWHERE in Houston so these rich celebrities don't have to show their faces in public for long.

That said most people ignore celebrities in NYC. It is seen as uncool to even notice a famous person there.

It seems like mostly LA where paparazzi are such a big problem.

same with Houston and the South. Difference is: NYers say it's 'uncool' to mob celebs. We say it's inpolite

No one bothered Colin Pine and Yao Ming going to their favorite karouki bar because it was uncool. They didn't bother them because it was inpolite

Uncool vs inpolite. The great divide between NYC's noble sense of social behavior vs Houston Texas

    Not Bosh.

And in order to make that situation happen you can't just wait for Bosh to leave on his own accord.
