Trying to remain positive about the front office. But the farther into the rebuild we go, we are seeing some positives from some of Ed Wade's last moves, but outside of Correa where are the "victories" of the Luhnow/Crane era?

Seriously, where would our current minor league system rank among all organizations?

7 earned runs on 6 walks and 6 hits in only 3 innings...ouch.

Teoscar went 3 for 4 hitting his 8th triple and his 16th homerun of the year. He also had an outfield assist.

Santana went 0 for 4 with 2 strikeouts in his first game back

They had a very good 2012 draft.

It is a little early to judge the 2013 & 2014 drafts.

Top 5 after Springer and Singleton graduation to the big leagues. The only 2 arguably better systems that come to mind are probably Twins and Cubs.

AJ Reed went 3-4 earlier today with a home run and a double. Fisher went 1-2 with 2 walks. Tri City ended up losing 18-4....ouch

Do the math, we're just now seeing the benefits of Wade's moves and he's been gone for almost 3 years. Luhnow's gonna be a little while longer. I wouldn't even count Correa as a victory yet by the standard you're using for Wade.

It's gonna take another year or two. The highly touted 2012 draft class was notable for high schools players, which means often making their ML debut 4-5 years post-draft. This year was just the tip of the iceberg for the farm system. In the next 1-2 years the waves of prospects are gonna be ridiculous.

But if Wade is going to get a pat on the back for talent acquisition, I'm prepared to pat Luhnow on the back now for talent development (getting Wade's players to the bigs).

Derek Fisher (i can't emphasize how much i hate that name) is off and...walking. 4 Walks in 11 PA. He's another high ceiling guy, so he's gonna be interesting one to watch.

We're just gonna have to start using that in a formal manner here. Henceforth the prospect will now be referred to as Joseph Fisher.

The Tri-City hitters are very impressive in terms of plate discipline. Bottger, Reed, Davis, Fisher all have exceptional OBP skills.

Hope you are right and the 12 draft turns out great.

Fact is, a large majority of our top prospects are not having great years though. Doesn't mean they won't pan out, but not taking a big step forward this year like many if us hoped.

And yes, it's really really really early in Appel and especially Aiken, but we certainly can't sit here and say "oh heck yea, we nailed that! Sure was worth it being horrible cause we just added two superstars"

Correa, McCullers, Ruiz, Fontana, & Phillips were having good seasons. Health has been the biggest disappointment for this season.
