If it was LA Melo would have already committed just like wade and bosh did in Miami before Lebron made his decision.

Just heard a rumor from a secondary source. Take this one with a grain of salt. Here it is:

Lebron is going to Cleveland and Lebron and another free agent are talking about joining up in Cleveland. Apparently Lebron is going to tell Riley he's going back to Cleveland and then Cleveland is going to attempt to work out a sign-and-trade with Miami sending Miami Bennett and Miami's own 2015 pick back. Trade will also include Waiters, Zoeller, and other contracts, enough to trade for a freshly signed Lebron. This will in turn leave enough cap space for Cleveland to sign the "other" free agent outright or possibly execute a second sign-and-trade using Deng as outgoing salary.

    ----------------------

I personally believe Lebron is going to Cleveland. As to whether he takes Bosh or some other free agent with him I don't know. But I think Lebron is gone to Cleveland. And we may know as early as tomorrow.

Is it me or did the Dwight free agency seem a lot more fun than this. Even before we knew he was coming.

Obviously. Worked at all 3 places. Even slept with a few members of ownership.

Well, I thought all along Lebron was either staying with the Heat or going back home to Cleveland.

IRT to Melo, I think the train is moving and I would be very surprised if he chooses us. Just don't get the vibe. Regardless, he is not the best fit as far as free agent superstar. Bosh is.

Soon enough, Morey will have to pivot his foot and turn his attention to trades he can actually make.

I don't think Bosh wants to play there. But I can't pin another free agent that would go there and fit well.

If they don't all go back to Miami....no one-year deals.

But just to be clear...Lebron was already stating he only wanted a 1 or 2 year deal in Miami. What does that tell you?

Remember my comment about 1-year contracts had to do with them making it work in Miami and adding another superstar. Don't take it out of context.

    Your secondary source = jopatmc?

How is he doing these days? I miss him. Sometimes I wish he'd break his solemn oath.

I've been paying relatively close attention to the Melo chase - I read a couple of days ago that the meeting apparently went really well, now everyone major reporter, including Woj, has completely written off the Rockets in the chase. Plus the Bosh chase has really begun as well.

    So, what the hell happened?

Reality is what happened. Money talks. If Melo cared about winning, it would be the Rockets and Bulls. Lakers are tied to Hollywood and NYC is NYC.

Nothing. Nothing at all has happened. He met with the teams and his still making his decision.
