The thing with these signings is almost anyone (except Lowry and Gortat) who is in the market for more than these exceptions is not signing anywhere til the big fish decide. So who else would Riley sign? Now if he resigned Ray Allen then we all know what's going down.

Put yourself in Bosh's shoes. You can play with the best player on earth, on a team that has made the finals 4 times in a row, FOR A MAX 5 YEAR CONTRACT.....or you can play for a team that lost in the first round for a 4 year contract.

I love the rockets, but let's not be stupid here. If LeBron leaves, we are almost certainly at the top of the list, but we aren't ahead of Miami with LeBron.

Espn pushing Bosh to Houston really hard. Its starting to feel like a negotiation swerve tactic. #LeBron2Cleveland

Rockets offered max to Bosh for 4 years/ 88mill... Bosh most likely will accept if Lebron decides to leave the Heat. It all depends on Lebron and what he wants to do. Rumors are that Lebron wants to go back to the Cavs. He will meet with Riley tomorrow.

    Melo is torn between Bulls/Lakers/Knicks.

LeBron had a conversation with Bosh over the weekend, and Bosh was concerned enough by LeBron's talk that he personally spoke with Rockets management on Monday morning. Other media reports have Cleveland as the frontrunner for LeBron, which would further increase the odds of Bosh to Houston.

Nonetheless, Bosh's ideal scenario still involves sticking in Miami with LeBron, with whom he has made four consecutive NBA Finals and won two rings, and certain BBS members have decided to act shocked/appalled and lose their minds at this concept.

We're assuming this because it's being reported by everyone and their mama. Bosh spoke to Morey today for a reason.

LOL you guys are crazy. how is not wanting to move his family, play with the best player in the game in south beach after 4 straight finals appearances and 2 championships something that's so ludicrous to process?? especially considering w/ miami's moves, he prob doesn't have to take as big a paycut as expected.

Ramifications on the Rockets aside, I would really enjoy a whole preseason of bandwagon Heatles crowing "yeah, I know we didn't upgrade our s**tty point guard or bench. But. Guys. We got JOSH MCROBERTS. DYNASTY!"

Small time insiders say LBJ to Cleveland a done deal, Rockets offer Bosh max 4yr/85 mill contract, Melo torn between Bulls, Knicks, Lakers, Bosh will re-sign with Heat only if LBJ does, if not, he's most likely going to Houston.

    Zero sum game.

The Rockets with Bosh are better than the Heat without Bosh.

But yeah, if it's max deal vs max deal (not to mention the free trip to the finals every year courtesy of the leastern conference) then it's a moot point.

LOL, exactly. Despite the growing number of reports it just seems too crazy.

Huh? Again, it's pretty clear -- the Rockets' discussions with Bosh picked up when it became clear LeBron might not be returning to Miami. It was and is 99% dependent on LeBron's decision.

Hey, The Cat, can you remind me again what Bosh coming to Houston might be contingent on? Would LeBron have to do something? Lulz. Keep fighting the good fight. Just messing.
