I'm excited about this fight. Lara is talking mad trash. Saying how he defeated Austin Trout in a much more impressive fashion than Canelo. I guess Lara forgot that he was getting beat by Angulo (to me) before Angulo's eye got messed up and quit. The same guy Canelo absolutely dominated. I don't care who wins, I just want a great fight.
Angulo looked like he had absolutely no power against canelo, yet rocked Lara twice before angulo threw it in.
maybe. i don't think it will be donaire(canelo) v riggy(lara). Though lara is a superior defensive fighter.
In one of the post fight interviews, Lara said "why don't you compare my fight to mayweathers fight with canelo" Thats because Floyd actually brought the fight to Canelo. At one time, he was even walking him down. I would have been fine if it went either way or a draw. Both guys didn't really do too much to impress. Both barley landed 100 punches.
Lara makes fights boring. Mayweather is defensive in the ring, but still entertaining. Marquez is a counter-puncher, but still exciting. Lara is a bicyclist. Hope next week's fights are better.
Lara toed a very fine line between running and outmaneuvering Canelo. For him to say that is rediculous. Mayweather made Canelo pay for missing, imo Lara lost himself the fight with his unwillingness to engage and really force any action on Canelo. You don't win by making your opponent miss, you win by hitting him. Alvarez looked poor as well, he struggled to land beyond his body work, but it slowed Lara, and he didn't take a backward step. Next big one imo is Golovkin vs Geale. If he dispatches of him in a manner similar to his last few fights, I'd be looked for any combination of GGG/Cotto/Alvarez, but it'll be the latter two fighting I think, GGG is just too big for Cotto, but he does have his belts. I think Golovkin is almost there in terms of star power, last fight against stevens had 1.5m on hbo while wards last one had 1.3m
http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/11221114/manny-pacquiao-fight-chris-algieri-china-nov-22 Pacquiao-Algieri would be a good fight to air on HBO. Can't imagine many paying for it.
I didn't even comment on the Canelo/Lara fight. While watching it, I said, uh oh, Canelo is going to have another fight like he did vs. FMM. But he adjusted to at least have some success (to the body). Then I started to notice Lara would throw less and less. He'd make Canelo miss, but would more often than not just move, instead of sticking and moving. I remembering telling people watching with me, if I were a judge, I wouldn't give Lara some of these rounds, and he'll lose a close fight because of it. I thought it was a draw. And as the 3rd score was going to be announced, I said, "here comes the judge who was paid by Golden Boy..." I still consider myself new to the sport, but I've seen this pattern enough for it to be pretty darn fishy.
I don't know how they're going to get people to buy this. Would be cool to move it to ABC/ESPN. The advertising between rounds would probably make more than what this will bring in on pay-per-view. :/

Guillermo Rigondeaux's fight is starting right now. here's the link: http://ifirstrowus.eu/sport/boxing-wwe-ufc.html
Riggy is my favorite fighter at the moment, the only possible exception being Ronda Rousy. Watching rigondeax box is like watching Mozart, just a real pleasing, exciting style.
Damn, that was quick and very controversial. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/H3yZ8SvGMtY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
